Bab 9: Chapter 9

Remi stood there while she saw Hugo walking away, heading to a group of people that welcomed him with a polite handshake and smile, and that stood as proud as him. She stayed looking at them for a little while, watching how they engaged in a conversation that she couldn’t possibly discern from where she stood, and wondering whether these people were genuinely friendly with him, or if it was all just a business act. She blinked twice and looked away, sipping again from her glass of champagne as she decided that she didn’t have time to waste on looking at Hugo and thinking about him and his businesses.
