Bab 56: The Foxen Spirit!

Cao Tai POV

After that warning call by my System I fell asleep, since I didn't consider it to be too bad, so my system probably got mad at me so I didn't train that night, instead it made me sit through a nightmare.

In which Violet, Sasha, and Lantla were following me everywhere, and destroying anybody and anything that even thought of disrespecting me, sure if someone pulls out a knife and tries to kill me, I understand why they would attack them.

But if they look at me funny? No, they're not that loose... I think?

Anyways, time to pull myself out of this hell of not being able to speak to anyone, and do something, like a Mission, I'll need to check the Notice Board, but it's better than thinking about this.

As I go to the tavern which I visited two days ago, it feels like so long ago, I walk up to the Notice Board and see 6 pieces of paper or whatever it is, pinned onto the board.

I think that's the limit, I skim over the titles, "Find my sla-servant! No... Find my dog! No... Kill the Entian, Probably not... Find me a husband! I would rather die... Be Warned!

Interesting..." I read aloud, pulling off the one I wanted. (The 'Be Warned!' one)

I read what the contract which read; [*Checks font selection, oh wait! There is none!]

{ All readers be warned! Madness lurks in these woods! And I do not mean the Entian, those are nuisances but they never attack, only retaliate. Anyways! It's certainly not an Entian, but a scorn of a powerful Foxen! Everyone in the village knows her! And if you don't, well you should! She has been rejected by her destined mate, like that would've stopped her! The clever boy knew this and fled into the woods, and now she is searching and destroying anything in her way. This includes her own former villagers' homes! Please put an end to this calamity! And preferably keep her alive, thanks. }

I click the 'Yes' button, and I receive the notification, <Taken Quest, Optional Quest: The Foxen Spirit!>

I click on the rewards button which displays:

{Rewards: 25,000 Magical Essence, 100 Dollars, 10 Tokens, immediate healing from any injuries}

I'm kind of concerned about that last reward, I don't feel like this will end for me well, but I can't turn back now!

Violet POV

Why do my dreams always end at the worst part? We were just at the wedding ceremony and I was about to pick him up and kiss him, like he's all mine~

But then something pulls me out of my dream, I wonder what, but I guess that's fine because now I can make this dream a reality!

I leap out of bed and do my best to land softly, which I think I succeed in, considering how nobody comes running into my room.

"What should I do to impress the Master out of his pants… maybe a good meal? No… anyone can do that… A gift? No… Some others could do that, like those others…" I mutter, deep in thought. [Obviously]

I start walking towards the divider, picking up my longsword, unsheathing it, and cleaning it when it suddenly hits me.

Why shouldn't I give him a weapon as a gift as well? I'll even get him some upgrades that I think he needs. I'm sure he'll love it!

Cao Tai POV

I open the door, wary of a person slamming into me, but no one does, still cautious for a certain feline appearing behind me and pressing a knife to my throat before laughing that it was for fun, but none came.

I walk into the hallway to see Violet's door already open. I guess she wanted to make breakfast or something, it may be better she doesn't join me on the hunt or I feel like I wont be getting any experience, since she'd just run in front of me and capture her before I even arrive.

I peered into Sasha's room, she was already sitting on her bed stretching, "Good morning, Sasha," I say, she jumped up, as if an intruder was at her door, before skipping towards me, which was only like two bounds, but I guess she felt like it.

"Good morning, Commander~ What can I do for you this morning?" She says, with a lustful light in her eyes, like she expected us to have sex then and there.

"I was wondering if you wanted to accompany me with a mission, just you and me-" I start, "I would love to! Let me just get my gear ready and I'll be at the door!" She interrupts me, I give her a warning stare but leave the room, since I need to ask Lantla as well.

I peer into Lantla's room, and not to my surprise she is laying quite peacefully in a mound of sheets and covers, "If Violet comes by, tell her Sasha and I are in the woods doing a mission," I whisper, which she groans in affirmation before turning once more, motioning for me to leave, which I comply.
