In my head, I wondered if Lorias had the power to cast a 'Champion's Feast' or 'Hero's Blessing' for us, which could give us some temporary boons that would boost our stats enough to possibly increase our chances of contending with a named völva. Maybe. However, the ljósálfar elder's actual proposal wasn't something I was keen on trying.

"Enlightenment…?" I frowned. "Me?" 

"I can tell from a glance that your body has undergone a staggering increase of development in only a short amount of time," Suspicion and amazement seemed at war on his face right then and there. "This sort of growth spurt combined with the large amount of magical energy currently permeating your magical fields is unprecedented in a human of your age." 

I blushed at all the praise. "Grandmaster Dwalinn does call me a wunderkind."
