Chief Ye was silent as she was deep in her thought. "Your Highness, may I ask when did you contact the poison in your body?"

"It has been a while," Princess Lingchen said. Then she told the old lady how she fell into a pond and caught a high fever. They only found out about the poison when none of the physicians in the palace could detect what went wrong with her.

When Princess Lingchen finished, Chief Ye had a complicated look on her face. Judging from the Princess' pulse, it seemed that the poisonous bug had been implanted into her body longer than the princess thought.
