He didn't want to take that battle fort with him because he didn't want to expose his holy storage ring. No normal storage space could hold something like that.

Since Wizard Merton could bring that thing in here, it meant that he too had a big enough holy storage ring.

When Abel and his 2 followers returned to the Potion Maker camp, Wizard Merton also arrived with the battle fort.
