Bab 59: Updating

"He's-" Drake opened his mouth to respond, but before he could utter a word, the door swung open, and a commanding voice cut through the air, interrupting their conversation.

"You know that information is classified, Captain Drake," declared Fleet Admiral Cheng, his eyes boring into Drake with a gaze as sharp as a sword's edge. The weight of authority settled like a leaden shroud, quashing any further discourse on the matter.

"Meet me in my office," Admiral Cheng commanded, his presence looming large as he turned and exited the room, leaving a palpable sense of trouble in his wake.

Aaron glanced at Drake, a sly smile playing on his lips. "Looks like you're in hot water," he teased, observing Drake's eye roll as he swiftly downed the last remnants of his bottle in one gulp before standing.
