Bab 75: Desperate plea

I sat slumped in the wheelchair, my body aching with each movement as my parents guided me out of the medical wing. My mind was racing, barely able to grasp what had happened over the past few days. 

The betrayal, the pain, the accusations, and now this—the news that I would face a trial, that I was already being stripped of everything I had worked for. My parents were my only lifeline now, and even though they stood by me.

As we made our way down the corridor, I suddenly spotted Isabella ahead. She stood by Captain Gerard, her arms crossed, her expression cold. 

She didn't even have to say anything—just that look was enough to remind me of everything I had done wrong. I couldn't let her go, not like this. I had to make her see that it hadn't been entirely my fault.
