Years of familiarity with the emperor hit him all at once. Realization struck him that he had developed some kind of fondness for Emperor Kruos. They had spent what felt like a lifetime sharing space, commanding troops, and creating military strategies that continued the army's legacy as the strongest in known history.

Emperor Kruos was a permanent fixture in his military career. Would he be able to do it without him?

These thoughts plagued Ebari, but he knew what the right decision was.

He knew who deserved revenge and who abused their power. It was he who had said Emperor Kruos should be dethroned, but now the reality was in front of him and he was hesitating.

"You realize that would mean you're the emperor if you defeat him, don't you?" Ebari hesitantly asked.
