Bab 169: A Pilot vs. A Guard

"How could I have forgotten Theron?" Varya wondered in amazement. "He still has to fight. I wasn't expecting him and Galen to be paired up though." 

Ebari was entertained simply because of Varya's reaction to her surroundings. 

While he was used to warriors sparring, Varya breathed new life into it by being full of wonder and surprise each time she saw something new. 

He wished he still had that kind of amazement in him. Perhaps he was too jaded at that point in his life. 

Feeling playful, Ebari leaned towards Varya and whispered, "These are two fire auras. I just know it." 

Varya elbowed Ebari and laughed. 

"Don't push it," she said.

Her blue eyes strayed towards the castle and she swore she could see Solana standing on the balcony. It was about time for Basileus Jr. to nap anyway. Maybe she would be able to see the man she spent time with the night before in a new light with no interruption.
