After that everyone in the group frowned at the upcoming future.
"It's spring now and there is still an opportunity to plant and harvest"
"Kira, people get infected through a zombie bite, right?" Takashi said as if asking himself.
"Yes…But I don't believe that's the only way to get infected. The virus has spread quickly among people which means…" I started to say
"There are other ways of infection.", Saya finished, "Most likely by airborne droplets."
"Wait", Rei exclaimed, "But we didn't get infected!"
"Perhaps there are other ways for it to spread." I said, shaking my head, "But the fact remains. Multiple outbreaks are happening worldwide and it's not possible through simple zombie bites."
Silence descended upon the group. Everyone was thinking about something.
"Alright, thoughts aside. We need to get out of school. After a few hours, sunset and darkness will only give the zombies an advantage" I reasoned with everyone, "I suggest we take the school bus and leave, and then we will decide where to go next."
"Good idea. Shizuka-sensei, can you drive a bus?"
"Well… I don't know... I haven't tried driving a bus before."
"If you can't drive, I'll drive. I've learned how to drive large vehicles similar to it so it should be no problem.", I told her, "And before we do anything else, I'll tell you this. The zombies are blind and react to sound so it doesn't take much energy to defeat them, you just gotta use your brain."
"And what do you advise us?", some background character asked
"Don't let the zombies catch you by surprise or grab you. They are very strong as the brain no longer limits their strength. But despite their strength, they are blind, slow, and very clumsy. For an easy victory, you just need to knock him down. Either a trip or a push, it doesn't matter. In case of collision, just quietly leave. It will purposefully follow your last issued sound. Their weak point is that other organs don't function. In addition, zombies do not feel pain, so this will not scare them away." I calmly enlightened them. The information should prove to be useful.
"But", I started grabbing their attention, "This would be useless for mutated zombies. Before you ask, yes there are mutated zombies, I saw one when I was getting to Miku. The characteristics of a mutated zombie are different from the normal ones. Also, the mutant seems to be smarter than a regular zombie as well as bigger and stronger and most likely has some special ability." I told them.
"W-what"
"Are you kidding me"
"Do you expect me to believe that? Dealing with regular zombies was already difficult and now we have to deal with mutant zombies"
Silencing them with a glare, I spoke.
"Listen, all of you", I said, gaining their attention, "If you want to survive this shit then you need to accept reality. This is happening whether you like it or not and you're going to see a lot of things you never expected to see. This is only going to get worse, I am sure of that. Right now you will be complaining about mutated zombies but soon it will be about humans. I'm not sure about the rate of mutated zombies and I don't know how they mutate" I said, staying quiet for a bit so it would sink in.
"I am only going to say this once, with society gone to hell some people are going to resort to doing whatever they want. That could be murder, theft, arson, r*pe, kidnapping, and many more… When we leave here don't let your emotions get a hold of you, 'cause the dead aren't the ones you should be afraid of."
"It's the Living", I told them, walking back to my seat.

Making sure everyone had some sort of weapon in hand, we removed the barricade and left the faculty lounge. As we made our way through the corridor toward the exit, the group reached the stairs leading to the first floor. The staircase itself led into the hall.
The concentration of zombies on the first floor was at least 3 times more than on the upper floor, and that's not counting the street where the undead also roamed. All the idiots who came down in a crowd met their death here.
"Well, what are we waiting for? We have already found out that they are blind. What's the point of sitting here?" Saya said, looking at the lobby full of undead.
"We need to confirm this somehow, Takagi.", Rei whispered.
Sighing, I got up and calmly said, "Since you guys aren't trusting my words, I'll just prove it to you."
Walking downstairs in a quick silent manner no one had time to object, and it was too late for them to shout. Calmly passing by the zombies, I opened the door to the outside and checked outside to see if there were any undead nearby. Keeping it open using a shoe that was nearby I grabbed a case that was on the ground and threw it to the other side of the student lobby. The zombies all went berserk and began to attack the wall that I threw it at, as they were fighting to try to find the source of the sound.
Beckoning them over with my hand my group came down the stairs excerpts for a few students. Now we just need to get to the bus and get out of there. However, I knew that things wouldn't be that simple. My predictions were proven correct as one of the students hit the metal railing, making a loud rattling sound that had every disease in 100 meters running in our direction.
"RUN!!!!!!!!!!!", Takashi shouted.
'This idiot!', I thought to myself, as I signaled for my group to run towards the bus. If he didn't scream then we would only have to deal with the ones closest to us.
*ROOOOAAAAAAR*
Holding the door as everyone got out except for the 2 in the back that was eaten quickly by the zombie horde. Looking back at the horde I saw the gray 3-meter-tall zombie charging toward me with the intent to kill. Retreating outside for more space I saw what happened in canon, the background characters were killed and the rest fought their way toward the bus with Saeko and Takashi at the front.
"Shizuka!" I called out to her, throwing the keys at her.
"Woah", she said, keeping it airborne before finally catching it.
"Start the bus!" I told her as the mutated zombie finally appeared alerting everyone.
*BOOM!*
Crashing through the wall of the school he came running towards me at full speed knocking nearby zombies out of the way.
"What the hell is that?!!" Takashi exclaimed.
"That should be the mutated zombie Kira said he saw," Miku told them nervously.
Ignoring their comments I dashed towards the undead Katana in my hands. Seeing a giant fist in my peripheral coming down on me I jumped back avoiding it.
*BOOM*
Debris was flying everywhere and the shockwave only alerted more zombies of our location.
'It's strong physically as well as being more intelligent than your average zombie. I believe its special ability is to attract and control weaker zombies.', I thought to myself.
With his fist stuck into the ground I ran towards him, augmenting Ki throughout my body. 'I only have about an hour before I run out of Ki and my body exhausts, so I gotta end this quickly, I thought to myself.
Channeling Ki through my Katana I began my attack.
'Shadow Breathing, Fourteenth Form: Lunar Eclipse'
Disappearing from my position, I appeared next to the mutated zombie slashing in two wide arcs before barraging with him powerful strikes.
'It's tough!' I thought, jumping back as he got his arm free.
The bones of this mutated zombie are extremely hard, especially the skull. Its defense and strength are great but I'm pretty sure a heavy weapon will prove to be effective against it. Looking at my Katana I saw that it was chipped and damaged.
'I need to get better materials if we're going to be facing mutants like this'. I can probably buy some katana from the system after this, I thought to myself.
"Saeko, Kohta", I said, gaining their attention, "I need you guys to help me out here. The rest of you watch each other's backs and handle the normal ones."
"So what are we dealing with here?", Kohta asked.
"The mutant is very durable as it chipped away my Katana as well as tanked my strikes, but it seems that its endurance isn't strong enough against heavy weapons. Saeko and I will vanguard, I need you to back us up and be careful. This zombie has good instincts and it's pretty fast so stay back a good distance.", I told them,
*ROOOOAAAAAR*
"Fuck, it's attracting more zombies here. We gotta end this fast.", I said before dashing the mutant zombie with Saeko. As the others are slowly getting overwhelmed we need to end this fast.
"This is pretty fun, right Saeko?" I asked her, despite the situation.
"Hmm, although it's terrible that this is happening, I can't deny that facing a strong opponent is exhilarating", She said with an excited smile, which some people would call crazy but for me it was enchanting.
Accelerating towards the mutant he dashed towards it as our confrontation began.
"Water Breathing, First Form: Water Surface Slash", Saeko said, generating a lot of momentum and delivering a powerful strike.
Following up on her attack I sped up appearing by her side begining my barrage of attacks.
"Shadow Breathing, Tenth Form: Order of The Shadow"
Blow after blow, avoiding attacks, we began to push him back gradually creating an opening for Kohta.
*Bang* *Bang*
Consecutive shots were heard piercing the mutant, shattering the armor around its head making it vulnerable.
"Let's go, Saeko, together", we began running towards the mutant delivering the final blow.
"Total Concentration, Combination Art: Deathly Calm"
Erasing everything from our minds we entered a cold state of tranquility, running towards the mutant zombie with an imperceptible speed as we struck.
*Slash*
Standing behind the standing body we sheathed our Katana in sync.
*Click* *Click*
The once formidable zombie we fought was now laid out on the ground headless in a puddle of its blood.
