"Does that mean you have forgiven me?" Wendy asked.

"That is based on your performance and your ability to keep to your promise," Grace said.

"Alright, I'll prove to you by my actions then."

"I'll be waiting," Grace said and sat back down.

"About you and the Boss, what are you going to do? You know you can't keep avoiding him."

"I don't know, even if I want to, I still have to consider Charles. He's so stuck on me that I dare not stay away from him for long," Grace said solemnly.

"I wonder why they've not reached out to you yet."

"Maybe they're still sleeping. Today is Saturday and they don't have to wake up too early."

Contrary to Grace's speculation, the father and son had woken up at the usual time and were sitting with a sullen expression at the dining table after they were informed that Grace was not in her room.
