"Twins?" An Xiaxia blinked, utterly bewildered.

Sheng Yize was no less surprised than she was. He stood there with a blank face for a moment before confirming it with the doctor repeatedly.

"Really?"

"Really."

"Twins?"

"… Yes."

"As in, two babies?"

The doctor didn't know what to say. Was there another kind?

Eyes flickering, Sheng Yize pulled An Xiaxia into his arms. "Xiaxia, did you hear that? We're having twins!"

He was so excited that he wanted to spin An Xiaxia around the room, and was only stopped by his concern for the babies.

An Xiaxia rubbed her eyes and felt like crying.

Wrapping her arms around Sheng Yize's neck, she said in a tiny voice, "Can I cry now? Are you going to laugh at me if I do?"

"Little fool!" Sheng Yize flicked her forehead. "Cry all you want. I'm here for you."
