He frowned and strode toward them, repeating, "Are you nuts? Drop the knife!"
Jian Xin'er curled up behind Ding Yiyi and recalled what Sheng Yize had told her the other day outside the washroom.
She was only trying to teach An Xiaxia a lesson and never thought that it would create such a big scene! What was more, they had been found out by Sheng Yize!
She was in an extreme panic and was trembling like a quail. Ding Yiyi was also scared out of her wits, while Li Canxing was the only one that stayed calm.
"An Xiaxia, what are you talking about? We only wanted to ask you a few questions. Why did you take out the knife?" Li Canxing said unhurriedly, blaming it all on the victim.
She then stealthily pinched the other girls.
Those girls realized what she was getting at and chimed in. "That's right. We never knew what a terrible person you are. You even bring a knife to school. What on earth do you want to do?"
At those words, the situation was immediately turned around.
An Xiaxia's lips were trembling as she looked at these girls in front of her in astonishment.
They were all young and pretty girls; how could they be so malevolent and vicious?
How much hatred did they hold toward her that they had to make sure there was no way out for her?
Sheng Yize frowned at those girls' words.
Jian Xin'er lit up a little, thinking that Sheng Yize was angry. She yelled at the top of her lungs, "Captain Yize, you'd better stay away from her! Perhaps she's even more terrible than a mad dog. Don't give her a chance to hurt you!"
She felt pleased and smug now that she thought she had already distanced herself from this incident.
However, what happened next confused her.
Sheng Yize's eyebrows knitted in a frown and he walked toward An Xiaxia with a scowl. He subdued An Xiaxia easily, took away the utility knife from her hand, and threw it to the ground forcibly!
"Are you an idiot? Do you have to bite back if a dog bites you?" Sheng Yize scolded.
He wasn't a fool and could see who was lying. Besides, he had involuntarily decided to stand by An Xiaxia no matter who was the culprit.
An Xiaxia had lowered her head like a child facing punishment and was too aggrieved to talk.
Sheng Yize's sharp eyes immediately caught sight of the wound on her hand. Anger blazed in his eyes as he asked harshly, "How did that happen?!"
An Xiaxia tried to talk, but hesitated.
Her silence irritated Sheng Yize even more. He simply stopped asking and threw a pack of wet tissues at her, saying indifferently, "Wipe it clean yourself; I'm taking you home."
What? Go home? The expressions on the girls' faces became even more exaggerated.
A mixture of emotions filled Jian Xin'er's eyes: envy, jealousy, and resentment… With a temperament that made her act recklessly, she rushed toward Sheng Yize and An Xiaxia, picked up the knife, and slashed it down at An Xiaxia's face, shouting in a hoarse voice, "Bitch! Who do you think you are? You're not worth Captain Yize's concerns!"
An Xiaxia was so frightened that she hurriedly dodged backward. However, before the knife reached her, it was stopped by Sheng Yize's strong arm.
"Hmm… I thought you remembered what I told you last time." Sheng Yize smiled, which made all of them felt as if chills were creeping up their spines.
Jian Xin'er had tears in her eyes as Sheng Yize said slowly, "I never hit women, but you really make me want to break my rule."
"No… don't. Sheng Yize, I'm the heiress to the Jian family. Even though you're a celebrity, you're nothing but an entertainer. What makes you so arrogant?" Jian Xin'er was so on edge that she no longer cared about what she was saying.
Sheng Yize's face darkened completely.
