Bab 248: Drinking at Night

"Be careful, and burn two joss sticks at the temple, Buddha will bless you," said the monk.

"Thank you, Master," said the young man with a smile. He took out a stack of cash and gave it to the monk.

The monk took the money pleasantly.

"I believe you have a lot of potential," said the monk.

The young man went into the temple. The joss sticks were not free. He had to pay for them.

Actually, the Buddha was too busy to answer every single person who burned the joss stick in the temple. There were too many people making wishes.

The young man bought three joss sticks, then he burned them in front of the sculpture of Buddha. After he had finished burning the joss sticks, he looked up at the big sculpture, which was over ten feet high, and stared at its mysterious smile.
