Elder Liu’s body shivered slightly and he slowly closed his eyes. After a good while, he opened them again and his gaze dimmed as he said, "I understand, Master. I have diligently served the Dark Yin Palace for my whole life and this is the final outcome that I’ll be subject to. Since Master has given the order, I cannot disobey. The Master wants me to end my own life and this has been my pride, so I will obey."

As he was saying this, Elder Liu pulled out a long sword and held it against his own neck. He closed his eyes once more but just as the long sword was about to swipe down, a calm and young female voice suddenly interrupted, "Yunyao, stop him!"

Swish!

A flash of light flared and the long sword in his hands fell onto the ground with a clatter. As he lifted his head in astonishment, he saw the young woman with a cold expression appear before him.
