Grand Master didn't provide any explanation, which was not surprising. But it was against the rule that the Grand Master said he would protect Lu Li for 10 years.

Demon-slaying Hall could not interfere in any conflict at the Great Land, which was a strict rule. If Lu Li joined the Demon-slaying Hall, then nobody would have any opposing views. But it would seem that the Demon-slaying Hall wouldn't take Lu Li in or he wouldn't join.

If so, Lu Li going back to the Great Land would make the incident a conflict between powers outside the Demon-slaying Hall. Theoretically speaking, the Demon-slaying Hall should not interfere. Grand Master had shamed Deputy Master and many others and now he was favoring Lu Li in public and providing protection for him for 10 years. It was utterly strange. It was nothing unusual to cause some commotion.
