"Shut it and widen your eyes."

Following the Chief Mate's surprised gaze, the radar velocity unexpectedly exceeded 15 knots and continued rising steadily!

"What's the maximum velocity of a submarine at sea level?"

The Chief Mate swallowed his saliva and answered.

"20 knots..."
