As the car came to a stop in front of the mansion, I realized our time away had come to an end. I pouted as I looked around at the pack from the tinted window. Jax whispered to the driver's ear and he came down from the car. It was pitch black outside with little hues of light from the street light.
"I know things wouldn't be like it was yesterday…" Jax trailed off and I turned to him. He took my hand in his, rubbing my knuckles as we looked at each other. "I am going to do everything to make sure we never have to argue and you never have to feel like you can't trust me." He let go of my hand and cupped my cheeks, pulling me closer. I adjusted myself not wanting to strain my body from the way we were seated.
""I trust you, Jax." I said before I could even think. Maybe it was the mood but at that moment, I trusted him with my life.
