Ryan noticed that "jealousy" had been added to Vera's emotional bar, confirming that his subtle tactics were effective. A little bit of teasing was proving to work wonders.

"Ugh, why are you kissing out here?" Lily playfully protested.

"Because it's my wife, and I can kiss her wherever I want. Go change your clothes; we're going out tonight."

Lily giggled as she went upstairs to change. Meanwhile, Ryan sat down in the living room and lit a cigarette. Mia plopped onto the seat next to him and teased Vera, "Jump Jump, your brother-in-law is nothing like how you described him."

"What nonsense are you trying to spout now?" Vera heart skipped a beat, and she quickly moved to stop her friend.

But before she could, Ryan wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her into a hold that she couldn't escape from. Smirking, he joked, "Mia, what's this little girl been saying about me?"
