He wished it was sooner!
But where could he find suitable battles?
Opening the shuimu City Secret Realm App, Hikaru began scrolling through options.
Although shuimu City was just a prefecture-level city, it boasted several secret realms. Most were E- or D-ranked, but there were also a few C- and B-ranked realms.
The two B-ranked realms caught his attention:
1. Frost Secret Realm: Home to a dominant Froslass at the Master Rank. This Pokémon's territorial instincts were strong, and entering its domain without sufficient strength was ill-advised.
2. Volcanic Secret Realm: Dominated by a Charizard, which had a relatively peaceful relationship with humans. The Charizard of the Flame Gym was reportedly from this realm.
Hikaru decided to start with a C-ranked realm. The app detailed the strongest Pokémon in each realm.
Croconaw (Gym-level Late): Known for its brute force but also a notorious troublemaker.
Torterra (Gym-level Mid): Slow but immensely powerful.
Pidgeot (Gym-level Late): Agile and commanding, a true challenge.
After considering his options, Hikaru zeroed in on the Torterra Forest Realm.
The Torterra Forest Realm seemed ideal for several reasons:
Torterra's slow speed would make it perfect for Frogadier and Kirlia to practice their evasion skills.
The realm also housed a Psyduck with exceptional psychic potential, though it seemed... scatterbrained.
As for the Pidgeot, its powerful aerial mobility made it a challenging opponent, but its sharp territorial instincts posed significant risks.
Having weighed his options, Hikaru chose the Torterra Forest Realm.
"This is it!"
The prospect of embarking on this new adventure filled him with an odd sense of excitement—like he was setting out on a grand journey.

The rugged mountains of the C-ranked Torterra Forest Realm stretched out before him.
"Thirty thousand per entry fee and a Professional Trainer's license... Not cheap," Hikaru thought, shaking his head.
Had it not been for the secret realm he discovered earlier, he would've been spending this much every time he entered a realm.
In explored secret realms like this one, resources were significantly scarcer.
However, Hikaru's Aura Detection and Exploration Lens abilities made treasure-hunting efficient.
Soon enough, he uncovered a batch of Hard Sand—a treasure highly sought after by Rock- and Ground-type Pokémon.
This treasure enhanced their physical defenses, making it invaluable for Pokémon like Onix and Aggron.
The three kilograms of Hard Sand Hikaru found could fetch roughly 150,000 Pokédollars on the market.
"Well, that's the entry fee covered," Hikaru said with a grin.
Thanks to his abilities, Hikaru quickly located the realm's apex Pokémon—a Gym-level Mid Torterra.
The colossal Torterra stood over three meters tall. Its shell, resembling a mountainous terrain, had a towering tree growing atop it, surrounded by jagged rock formations.
At the moment, the Torterra appeared to be resting.
However, the fiery aura emanating from Charmeleon's body soon stirred it awake.
"Protect!" Hikaru commanded Kirlia immediately, shielding himself from potential shockwaves.
Meanwhile, a Growlithe and its trainer—a guardian assigned to protect the realm—were patrolling nearby.
The Growlithe barked sharply, signaling a disturbance.
The trainer furrowed his brow, realizing a battle had broken out near the Torterra's location.
"That's not good..."
This realm had two dominant Pokémon of similar strength: the Torterra and a Scyther.
While Scyther was aggressive and combative, Torterra preferred peace and solitude. However, if provoked, its immense power could wreak havoc.
Such high-level battles typically required energy shields for safety.
"Let's go, Growlithe!"
The trainer mounted his Growlithe, racing toward the source of the disturbance.
By the time the guardian arrived, he was stunned.
There stood a young trainer—directing three seemingly mid-elite Pokémon—facing off against the mighty Torterra in an evenly matched battle.
"Kirlia, use Double Team! Frogadier, Shadow Clone, then Dark Pulse!"
Hikaru's commands were calm and precise, exploiting Torterra's slow movements.
Despite being pelted with water-based attacks, Torterra's immense stamina allowed it to hold its ground.
Even the Coldfire of Bones, burning faintly on its body, seemed only to gradually wear it down.
As Torterra prepared another Energy Ball, its movements were noticeably slower, though the energy it gathered still radiated immense power.
"Kirlia, use Substitute!"
The substitute absorbed the brunt of the Energy Ball's explosion, scattering debris and creating a massive ten-meter-wide crater in its wake.
"Damn!" The guardian couldn't help but marvel. Torterra's attacks could easily destroy large sections of forest.
But Hikaru only smiled.
Torterra's energy output had already diminished significantly.
"It's time to finish this!" Hikaru declared.
