Jane frowned, weighing the idea. As disgusted as she was with Lila at the moment, it did seem like the most practical solution. Just as she was about to agree, a man dressed sharply in a navy shirt and black pants entered the room, exuding authority.

His sudden presence quickly attracted the attention of the people inside the private room. While everyone didn't seem that surprised, Lila was absolutely nervous. This wasn't the first time she had met this man.

During her courtship with James, Lila decided one day to surprise him at his office with a meal she had prepared herself. However, when she arrived at James' company, her visit was denied because she hadn't scheduled an appointment.
