Bab 28: Final Showdown

If it wasn't for the Monkey's Tail, Kai would've died.

The Bès Rap collided with Kai with all the force of an avalanche. Even before the air threatened to tear him apart, Kai's entire body was on fire as he tried to keep it from complete dismemberment. By some miracle, he had survived the initial collision, but he already knew he wouldn't be so lucky once he hit a tree.

His entire body would splatter into a million pieces. However, due to his beast affinity, he could instinctually use their souls. With a speed faster than thought he adopted the trait of an Arikan Baboon.

His tail pushed off against the ground, dispersing some of the energy into the ground and Kai's vertical trajectory. Shortly after he adopted the trait of a Mountain Eagle's wing, further slowing his momentum. His tail caught hold of a bigger branch, stopping him completely. Just inches away from the tree, he was saved.
