A lightning strike descended from the heavens, halting midair just a few meters from the floating Shiki. The crackling energy coalesced, revealing Lei Gong, his presence radiating an almost unbearable intensity as arcs of white lightning danced across his body. His sharp gaze locked onto Shiki, his voice cold and unyielding.
"So, this is the God Slayer," Lei Gong sneered. "A mortal who dared to touch the divine. Admirable… but foolish. Today, Shiki the Golden, your story ends. You will serve a purpose far greater than your pitiful existence."
BOOM.
Shiki's face remained calm, but his body tensed. From below, a crashing sound drew Lei Gong's attention. Fallen debris shifted, revealing Arya in the distance, guiding children and mothers toward safety.
"What's this?" Lei Gong's lips curled into a smirk as he raised his hand. Lightning crackled violently, forming into a pulsating sphere. "Something survived? Let's fix that."
CRACK. The sphere exploded into a bolt of lightning that raced toward Arya and the children with merciless precision. BOOM. The air trembled under its power, but just before it struck, a golden hand materialized in its path. The hand intercepted the bolt, redirecting its energy to the side where it detonated, leaving a smoldering crater in its wake.
Arya turned, her chest heaving as she caught sight of the fading golden hand. "Papa… still protecting us," she whispered, her voice trembling. She pushed the children forward, her resolve masking the terror etched on her face.
Lei Gong scowled, his gaze flickering back to Shiki. "Pest. You're lucky the boss wants you alive." But before he could finish, a surge of energy erupted behind him.
BOOM.
Shiki's body glowed with renewed vitality, his wounds mending as his life force reignited. His form grew radiant, his eyes now glowing with the serene intensity of a Buddha. A thousand ethereal hands emerged from his back, each moving with purpose and grace as they fused into his body. The transformation was blinding, a beacon of defiance.
"So, you cling to life," Lei Gong muttered, his voice laced with mockery. "You've fused with your Buddha ability. A temporary reprieve, but it won't save you."
BOOM.
Shiki's eyes remained closed. He raised one hand, and hundreds of luminous arms shot forward, each one moving with precision and speed. CRACK. Lei Gong transformed into lightning, reappearing to dodge each strike. He blurred across the battlefield, evading the onslaught. Shiki's arms moved faster, the force of their attacks tearing through the air, creating deafening shockwaves. BOOM.
Lei Gong's form flickered, but the hands closed in. One clamped down, then another, and another. BOOM. They layered over him from every direction, encasing him in a radiant pyramid of energy.
With his voice steady, Shiki intoned,
"BUDDHA SEAL: PYRAMID OF THE HOLY."
BOOM.
Within the pyramid, spears of light formed on the walls, their razor-sharp points aimed at Lei Gong. The spears shot forward, intent on piercing the lightning god.
But Lei Gong's laughter echoed from within. "A valiant effort, mortal, but let me show you why the divine remain untouchable."
CRACK.
The sky above turned crimson as white lightning faded, replaced by an ominous red hue. The ground trembled violently, the air charged with a suffocating intensity.
"RED LIGHTNING: ONE EYE STRIKE," Lei Gong thundered.
BOOM. The entire battlefield quaked as a single bolt of red lightning erupted from the sky. It tore through the pyramid, obliterating the spears and disintegrating the structure into fragments of light. CRACK. The bolt didn't stop, surging downward and upwards then slamming into Shiki.
BOOM.
Shiki's radiant form shattered, his body reduced to a lifeless husk. He floated motionless in the air, stripped of the vitality he had summoned moments before. Lei Gong descended, his hand clutching his left eye socket, blood trickling down his cheek from the sacrifice.
"I warned you, Shiki. This was your limit although you pushed me to using My Red Lightening By Sacrificing One of my eyes? You're Strong Shiki."
BOOM.
Lei Gong reached out, his grip firm around Shiki's lifeless body. Without a word, he summoned a streak of red lightning, and with it, they vanished into the clouds.
Centuries ago, Shiki was born into the legendary God Hunter family. His parents, Doro and Eliza, were revered warriors, yet their joy was overshadowed by Shiki's frail condition. A rare illness stunted his growth, leaving him physically weak even as he reached ten years of age.
Desperate to save their son, Doro and Eliza sought the blessings of a mystical Buddha. The Buddha's intervention not only healed Shiki but transformed him. His body grew rapidly, imbued with strength and resilience far beyond that of an ordinary human. He became a living embodiment of the Buddha's power.
Shiki's rise to prominence was meteoric. As a young man, he faced gods and beasts that terrorized kingdoms, defeating them with unmatched skill and determination. His most famous victory came against the Golden God, a tyrant who enslaved entire civilizations. Shiki single-handedly destroyed the god and his army of 500 soldiers. That victory earned him the name Shiki the Golden, a title that would echo through history.
His legacy was one of triumph and strength, but today, his story had reached its final chapter.
