Nereus hovered midair, his cold eyes locking onto the team below. His commanding voice echoed across the battlefield, "Hand over the Source now, and I may spare your lives."
Seiji smirked, casually rolling his shoulders. "If you want it, come and get it yourself. But I'm warning you—it won't be easy."
With that, Seiji's 32 Marks of God began to glow brilliantly, illuminating his entire body with radiant symbols. At the same time, Shenlog's Dragon Mode activated, his skin hardening into scales resembling that of an ancient dragon. A low growl escaped Shenlog's throat, his energy radiating heat waves that warped the air around him.
On the sidelines, Ma and Pa worked tirelessly to heal Jin, who lay motionless on the ground. Madagascar stood over them, conflicted. "I can't just sit here. Let me join the fight," he urged.
Ma, her sharp tone cutting through the chaos, replied, "Unless you plan to use that power, you'll only get in their way. And trust me, you're far from mastering it."
Pa added with a chuckle, "So sit your monkey butt down, boy!"
Madagascar clenched his fists in frustration but knew they were right.
Meanwhile, Mengi knelt beside Jin, resting his armored hand on the unconscious boy's chest. "Poor boy," he murmured, his tone a mix of pity and determination. "You have no idea what you're capable of. You don't even know who—or what—you truly are. But that ignorance ends soon."
Mengi stood, liquid metal flowing from his body to form a sleek, reflective armor. His presence exuded a silent menace as he joined Shenlog and Seiji at the front line.
Nicklaus chuckled darkly, standing beside Nereus. "We'll have to deal with these three before we can get to the boy," he remarked, his crimson eyes flickering to Mengi. "Especially that one," he added, pointing directly at the armored figure.
Seiji turned to Shenlog and Mengi. "We either separate them or take them down together. Let's move."
Without warning, Seiji vanished. Teleportation.
He reappeared directly above Nereus, slamming both palms downward in an attempt to crush the Ocean God. Nereus blocked the attack with his trident, the clash releasing a shockwave that rippled through the air.
Nicklaus, reacting instantly, extended red tendrils from his spinal cord. They shot toward Seiji with alarming speed, aiming to ensnare him. But Seiji, always quick on his feet, twisted his palms against the trident and used the leverage to propel himself backward. "32 Marks God: Wind Blast!" he shouted, releasing a powerful surge of wind that tore through the battlefield.
The blast struck Nicklaus head-on, sending him flying across the battlefield.
However, Nereus, undeterred, used his aquatic physiology to enhance his speed. In an instant, he was on Seiji, grabbing his throat with a vice-like grip and preparing to impale him with the trident.
But Mengi wasn't far behind. A sleek, metallic blade extended from his armor at breakneck speed, streaking toward Nereus. Forced to release Seiji, Nereus dodged the blade just in time, landing several feet away.
Shenlog wasted no time, charging at Nicklaus with flames trailing his every step. "Still alive, huh?" he growled. "Seems dying isn't your thing."
Nicklaus smirked, his tendrils writhing in anticipation. "I'm full of surprises, Dragon Boy."
Meanwhile, Nereus' body began to adapt, his legs transforming to mimic a fish's physiology. His enhanced speed made him nearly impossible to track. With a powerful palm strike, he sent Seiji hurtling through the air. The impact echoed like a cannon blast.
Before Mengi could react, Nereus appeared before him with a burst of godlike speed, slamming his hand into Mengi's chest. The blow sent Mengi flying, but he reacted swiftly, extending a metallic chain from his body to anchor himself to the ground and reduce the force of the attack.
Nereus, relentless, pursued Seiji. Before Seiji could even touch the ground, Nereus appeared in front of him, delivering a devastating punch. Seiji, agile as ever, dodged at the last moment, retaliating with a glowing palm strike that sent Nereus careening backward.
Seiji landed gracefully beside Mengi, brushing dust off his shoulder. "I told you this wouldn't be easy," he said with a smirk.
Mengi, his armor shimmering in the light, nodded. "Let's finish this."
