"You know her coming of age ceremony is~" I was aware of where this was going and quickly cut the king off.
"I think I hear my fiancé calling for me" I smiled not hesitating to walk away leaving the old man standing with a stupefied expression.
'What's with nobles trying to marry me to their daughters' I let out a bothered sigh not even bothering to count the amount of times it had happened.
Of course I wasn't opposed to getting engaged with Aria after everything that had happened, And even thought warmly of the idea. But I'd rather it be on our own terms than becoming nothing but a symbolic gesture between the hero and the royal family.
"Hero"
"Excuse me" I politely smiled as I walked past a nobleman who had a very curly mustache with my eyes scanning the grand hall.
'Where is everyone' I glanced around yet all I managed to find were nobles already looking at me with gazes I didn't like.
'Maybe I should get some fresh air' I let out another sigh but before I could continue forward a servant blocked my path.
"Hero" The young man with brown hair bowed in respect while leaning in with a softer voice.
"The queen requests to speak to you" My eyes widened slightly before the corner of my lips curled up.

Sophia Lauretré
She was perhaps the most noble woman on the continent when it came to bloodline. The Lauretré family had been around for centuries upon centuries, They were a founding member of the kingdom and were even older than the current royal family.
The queen was the only daughter of the former duke and had been engaged to the king since she was a child. My opinion of the queen was a stark opposite of her husband. She had always been very kind to me from the first time we met, The only difference was that it didn't feel as if she was just using me for my title like the rest of the nobles wanted to.
When I was first brought to the capital after being blessing by the goddess it was her and Alexia that kept those who wanted to use me away. It gave me the chance to learn in peace, Not only about how to swing a sword but also about things nobles were taught when they were young. I was very emotional during that time and the queen had always invited me for tea to have long chats.
I guess you could say that the queen was like a second mother to me.
"Her majesty isn't feeling well and has stayed back in her chambers" The servant who was leading me spoke yet I couldn't help but roll my eyes.
'She's definitely not sick' I was well aware that the queen hated banquets and party's just as much as I did.
'The only difference is she can get away with not coming' I grumbled as my feet clicked against the smooth marble flooring that seemed to stretch on endlessly.
We reached a more secluded area of the Castle with many more guards, They only glanced in my direction before going back to patrolling. Eventually the servant stopped in front of a large black door that was engraved with golden floral designs.
"Hero" The young man bowed toward me one last time before disappearing down the hallway as if he was never there.
'I hope she has liquor' I knew I needed another glass as I raised my hand and softly knocked on the rugged surface.
"Come in" It didn't even take more than a second before a raspy voice sounded out from the other side.
I didn't hesitate to grab the handle twisting it and slowly pushing the door open. I was instantly greeted to the scent of vanilla that made me subconsciously take a deep breath. The grand area that lay in front put my room at Alexia's manner to shame.
It was about three times the size with an elegant sense that left one feeling both mesmerized and comforted. A large bed set just in front with see through drapes hanging loosely across and just behind was a giant window that overlooked the entire capital. To the left was a long bookshelf that covered the entire wall with no spaces left empty.
