Bab 97: 97. To give in (Jude's POV)

My heartbeat accelerated, I had never felt it beat that strongly before, not even when making sports. And this new experience happened because I had my stepmother in my arms, not doing anything else.

I wanted to back up, look into Lesly's eyes, to see her reaction to this broken taboo, but I was unable to move a muscle. Hearing my name fall from her lips, I was torn between letting go and pulling her all the closer.

Breathing out her name as well, an exchange between us, you say my name, and I say yours; I am in this as much as you are; I completed the unspoken arrangement.

Feeling her heart also beating strongly, I found it fascinating. 

When I had my hookups, I had my hand often on their chests, for obvious reasons, but also because I was fascinated by how they could get so agitated because of a little bodily contact. Feeling the thrumming through their skin, I asked myself when I would experience this myself.
