Bab 63: Surveillance

Despite her warnings, Seth feels a peculiar pull emanating from beneath the tombstone. It's as though the dormant mana vein is calling out to him, promising strength and clarity.

'Was that even possible?' He thought

"Zera, it's like it wants me to use it. Is that normal?" Seth asked his reliable companion

[Normalcy is subjective. However, dormant veins often exhibit resonance when interacting with sentient mana users. It is an invitation...one that must be declined.]

"But what if..." Seth tried saying

[The resonance is an invitation that exceeds your current capacity. Refrain from engaging.] She interrupts her tone firmer now.

[You are unprepared for the potential consequences.]

Seth grits his teeth but relents, standing and dusting off his hands.

"Fine. No tampering... yet."

Seth acted like a child deprived of sweets.

Only for his attention to be drawn again.
