After that, Asta and Noelle had a friendly conversation, where Asta did most of the talking. He asked her about many things: her life, her magic, and much more. During their conversation, Noelle occasionally remembered that she was a royal and Asta was just a commoner. She felt an urge to remind him of this fact, but each time, she stopped herself. After all, she could lose the only person who treated her kindly and didn't judge her, even if it meant setting aside her noble status for a while.
"By the way, Noelle, you mentioned you have problems with magic, right?" Asta suddenly asked.
Hearing this, Noelle hesitated for a moment but decided to tell him the truth.
"I have trouble controlling my magic," she admitted, lowering her head as if bracing herself for mockery.
Instead, Asta looked thoughtful. Then, as if remembering something important, he began rummaging through his spatial pouch.
Noelle watched him with confusion until she noticed the pouch itself and exclaimed in surprise,
"Wow! Is that a spatial pouch? How does a commoner have one? Even the Kirsch, Vermillion, and Silva households have only four of them, and they're extremely rare!"
At that moment, Secre silently observed Noelle, as if evaluating her reaction.
Finally, Asta pulled out a small object—a wand with a magical stone embedded in it.
"Ta-da!" he said cheerfully. "I bought this as a trinket since I can't use magic anyway. But the shopkeeper said this wand helps with magic control. Here, take it, Noelle!"
He offered the wand to her. Noelle, still hesitant, eventually took it. Holding the wand in her hands, she began to examine it closely.
"Try it out! Channel your mana into it," Asta encouraged her.
Summoning her courage, Noelle aimed the wand at one of the targets. Her magic hit it dead center. Overjoyed, she started jumping in place.
"It worked! It worked! Asta, it worked! Thank you!"
In her excitement, she suddenly hugged Asta. Realizing what she had done, she quickly pulled away and, embarrassed, accidentally fired her magic at him. Though her spell caused no harm, Asta ended up completely soaked.
"Uh… sorry," Noelle mumbled, lowering her head in genuine regret.
From that day on, they began meeting every morning in the same spot. Asta would watch Noelle practice, and afterward, they would have friendly conversations about various topics.
Noelle also found herself fascinated by Secre and constantly tried to pet her. However, the bird skillfully dodged her attempts. With each passing day, Noelle grew more cheerful. She smiled every time she saw Asta.
Soon, she met David as well, and her days with them became filled with laughter. Noelle cherished every moment spent with her new companions.
However, when she returned home, she always found herself eagerly waiting for the next day. This didn't go unnoticed by Solid.
