Though she had spoken confidently before, she couldn't help but feel nauseated after seeing Kenneth's body in the room.
Fortunately, Diarmuid's body had been devoured by the black bird; otherwise, her reaction would have been even stronger.
Looking at her pale face in the mirror, Tohsaka Rin finally calmed herself and exited the bathroom.
Though her legs were still a bit unsteady, she felt that if she saw Kenneth's headless body again, she wouldn't be as disturbed.
"Finished washing?"
Zuke stood in the center of the room. Hearing the bathroom door open, he turned to look at her.
Kenneth's body had been cleaned up by Zuke—easily removed with the "Black Bird Void Miasma," which completely erased his existence.
Initially, Zuke had considered devouring Kenneth's body to gain his abilities, but Blackbird showed no interest in Kenneth at all.
He mused. Understandably so, as compared to Heroic Spirits, Kenneth was merely an ordinary magician with nothing particularly noteworthy.
As the monarch of the Clock Tower, Kenneth's main value lay in his magic knowledge and circuits, which were inaccessible to Blackbird.
As for the magical item, "Moon Spirit Liquid"... it wasn't as useful as Kiryu's stand.
Aside from two large pools of blood, no trace of Kenneth or Diarmuid remained in the room.
"Of course... I won't be scared by that again!"
Though her body still trembled slightly, her words were firm. This was typical of Tohsaka Rin's character.

"By the way, did Lancer really die like that? He won't be coming back, right?"
"Don't worry, he's completely gone," Zuke reassured.
Diarmuid's powers had been consumed by the black bird, ensuring he would not return.
More importantly, Zuke noticed that the synchronization rate for the main mission had increased.

"What's next? Do you want to finish the Holy Grail War overnight?"
Seeing Rin's enthusiasm, Zuke laughed and reached out to pinch her cheek.
"If nothing else, Saber hasn't arrived in Fuyuki City yet, so it's unlikely we can end it overnight."
Though Emiya Kiritsugu must have already summoned Saber Artoria, their arrival in Fuyuki City would still take a few days.
Zuke wouldn't mind ending the Holy Grail War swiftly, but the conditions weren't right. He didn't know the exact location of Einzbern Castle's "Winter City."
Otherwise, with his power, he could theoretically fly to Germany.
"So, that's it for today's activities?"
Tohsaka Rin's tone held a hint of disappointment.
Zuke looked at her with a knowing smile. He had other plans in mind—but he couldn't reveal them to her.
After all, his next move involved Tohsaka Tokiomi.
While he didn't need to tiptoe around Rin, he didn't want to alienate her, given his role as her Servant.

After sending Tohsaka Rin home, Zuke used the excuse of "gathering intelligence" to make his exit.
This time, though, he wasn't leaving the mission world but heading elsewhere.
"Fine... but remember to take me with you when it's time to act."
As Zuke prepared to leave, Tohsaka Rin seemed disappointed but quickly regained her enthusiasm, reminding him.
Though the scene had frightened her, the excitement was undeniable.
Could it be that Tohsaka Rin was being led astray?
Watching her slightly excited expression, Zuke pondered.

Although he had disrupted the Matou family many times, he wanted to check on Matou Kariya's whereabouts.
In the original story, Kariya's Servant, Berserker Lancelot, possessed intriguing abilities.
While Zuke also held the Berserker rank, Rin had summoned him through unusual means, possibly forced by her own system.
The proper Berserker summoned by Kariya should still be around.
However, upon arriving near the Matou residence, Zuke saw that it was surrounded by fences and police tape.
It seemed the Matou family had become the subject of an investigation.
Matou Kariya was nowhere to be found—so where could he have gone?
Although Kariya had some money, it likely wasn't enough to secure a hotel room.
As a participant in the Holy Grail War, he would also try to stay hidden.
Staying at a hotel would make him easily traceable—a risk akin to Kenneth's situation, whose Hyatt Regency Hotel had been bombed by Emiya Kiritsugu.
"Then it seems there's only one place left."
Zuke thought to himself.
