Bab 66: Final showdown

A Grim Revelation for Harry

When Harry entered Raja's private study, he could see the weight in Raja's expression. This wasn't a regular meeting.

"Harry," Raja began, his voice serious, "there's something I need to tell you. And it's going to be hard to hear."

Harry's eyes grew wide with concern, but he listened as Raja explained the parasitic nature of Voldemort's fragmented soul, lodged within his scar.

"If this continues unchecked, Harry," Raja said solemnly, "you could be corrupted. Turned, even. You're carrying a piece of him inside you. If the wrong people found out… they might believe the only way to save you is through drastic measures. They might send you to Azkaban—or worse."

Harry's face went pale. "But… but there's got to be another way?"

"There is," Raja nodded, placing a comforting hand on his friend's shoulder. "I've been studying soul magic, ancient rituals. I've found a way to exorcise the soul fragment from you without harming your own soul. It's risky, but it's our best shot."

Raja's words were enough to settle some of Harry's fears. He was grateful to have Raja at his side through this.

"We'll perform the ritual on the night of the full moon," Raja continued, "in the Forbidden Forest. I'll need complete concentration, so it's best we're away from everyone."

Preparation for the Final Battle

In the days that followed, Raja made a deal with the centaurs to find a suitable clearing within the Forbidden Forest—one close enough to Aragog's lair to ensure no magical creatures would wander near. At the clearing, Raja faced Aragog himself, wielding his katana in a display of sheer power that brought the giant spider to heel.

"Keep your kin at bay," Raja commanded, channeling his Magic Haki to strengthen the command. Aragog bowed its head, agreeing to the terms, while his brood settled in to guard the perimeter.

Raja spent the next few days shaping the clearing into a battleground. He carved runes into the surrounding trees and buried concealed alchemy devices that would form a powerful containment barrier. Dumbledore, who'd been briefed on the plan, agreed to approach Amelia Bones, requesting Aurors stationed nearby. Though uncertain of Raja's target, Bones owed him a favor and sent her best to lie in wait.

With the groundwork set, Raja met with the Order of the Phoenix, explaining that they would soon be needed for the final confrontation. He could see the unease on their faces, but also the resolve to bring Voldemort's threat to an end once and for all.

The Night of the Full Moon

Under the dim glow of the full moon, Harry and Raja made their way through the forest, accompanied by the steady hoofbeats of centaurs who'd agreed to guide them to the clearing. When they reached the ritual site, Harry took a deep breath, his gaze darting around the makeshift battleground, tinged with nervousness.

Raja set him at ease with a reassuring look. "Trust me, Harry. This will work."

Harry nodded, his trust in Raja unshaken.

As he sat at the center of a large diagram inscribed with rune symbols, Raja began the ritual. The chants filled the night air, ancient mantras flowing from Raja in a rhythmic cadence that seemed to lull Harry into a state of relaxation. Soon, Harry slipped into a deep sleep, his spirit lifting away from his body. Hovering as an observer, Harry watched as Raja's chants grew louder and a dark, twisted fragment began to emerge from his scar. The dark mass let out a blood-curdling scream, the sound echoing across the forest.

It was the soul piece.

Raja guided the fragment into a containment vessel, a device inscribed with purification mantras, where it settled with a final, wrathful cry. After an hour of effort, Raja carefully drew Harry's spirit back to his body. As Harry opened his eyes, groggy but alive, Raja held a vial of potion to his lips, easing his friend's weakness.

But before either could celebrate, a low, mocking voice cut through the silence.

"Impressive display of magic," Voldemort drawled, stepping into the clearing with Nagini coiled at his feet. A gathering of Death Eaters stood behind him, their wands raised and eyes gleaming with bloodlust.

Voldemort's serpentine gaze lingered on Raja. "You have a remarkable talent for soul magic, young Raja. Join me, and you could wield power beyond imagining."

Raja's face hardened as he shook his head. "I'd rather die than join you."

"Then so be it," Voldemort sneered. He motioned to Nagini, who lunged toward them.

Raja tossed Gryffindor's sword to Harry, who caught it with a fierce determination. With a quick nod, Raja activated the alchemical traps hidden in the clearing. A powerful, glowing barrier sprang up around them, trapping Voldemort, Nagini, and the Death Eaters inside.

Dumbledore and the Order, along with Amelia Bones and her Aurors, emerged from the shadows, their wands drawn as they closed in on the trapped Death Eaters.

Voldemort's smile faded, replaced by fury as he realized he'd walked into a trap. Raja met his gaze, his own smile grim. "Checkmate, Voldemort."

The Battle Begins

As Harry engaged Nagini, parrying her strikes with the Sword of Gryffindor, the Order members took on the Death Eaters. The field erupted into chaos, flashes of spells illuminating the darkness as Dumbledore's phoenix Patronus darted through the night, deflecting curses and binding Death Eaters with shimmering chains.

Amelia Bones directed her Aurors with precision, focusing on neutralizing the more dangerous Death Eaters. Kingsley Shacklebolt, his wand flashing, sent Death Eater after Death Eater tumbling to the ground with stunning spells.

Meanwhile, Raja engaged Voldemort himself, the Dark Lord's cruel laughter echoing across the battlefield.

"So, you think you can stand against me, boy?" Voldemort sneered, his red eyes flashing.

Raja responded with a blast of dark lightning from his Patronus, the thunderbird, which shrieked in defiance as it bore down upon Voldemort. As bolts of energy crackled around them, Raja unleashed a barrage of powerful curses, each deflected with a flick of Voldemort's wand.

"This ends tonight," Raja shouted, his voice steady. "Your Horcruxes are no more."

Voldemort's face twisted in fury as he launched a deadly volley of spells. Raja countered with swift movements, his wand sweeping through the air to nullify each curse. With every exchange, Raja could feel his own magical strength pushing against Voldemort's relentless power.

Harry, meanwhile, managed to corner Nagini, thrusting Gryffindor's sword through her with a fierce strike. The snake let out a deathly hiss, convulsing as the Horcrux within her shattered, sending a wave of dark energy that rippled through the field.

With Nagini gone, Voldemort's connection to immortality severed completely. The Dark Lord staggered, visibly weakened, though his eyes burned with wrath.

The Final Stand

Realizing his impending defeat, Voldemort attempted to escape, sending a violent blast towards the barrier Raja had erected. But the runes held firm, reflecting his attack back at him, knocking him to the ground.

Dumbledore stepped forward, his voice carrying across the battlefield with a powerful authority. "It's over, Tom. You've run out of places to hide."

With a chilling glare, Voldemort rose to his feet, defiant to the last. "It will never be over, old man. Darkness never truly dies."

But it was Raja who stepped in, his voice calm and filled with a fierce resolve. "Then let the light be everlasting."

In a final, coordinated strike, the Order, the Aurors, and Raja raised their wands, unleashing a combined spell that overwhelmed Voldemort. The Dark Lord's scream of defiance filled the night, his form writhing as the spells converged upon him, tearing his fractured soul from his body.

As the dust settled, silence fell across the clearing. Voldemort lay still, his body lifeless, and his final Horcruxes destroyed.

A Triumphant Dawn

As dawn broke over the Forbidden Forest, the survivors gathered, exhaustion etched into their faces but relief shining in their eyes. The Aurors took the remaining Death Eaters into custody, while the Order members embraced one another, grateful for the victory.

Harry approached Raja, his expression filled with gratitude and admiration. "We did it, Raja. He's gone."

Raja nodded, though his gaze lingered on the now-empty clearing, knowing they'd paid a heavy price. But this victory, hard-won and complete, had been worth every sacrifice.

Albus Dumbledore stepped forward, his eyes twinkling with pride. "You have done more for this world than any could have hoped, Raja. Your bravery and wisdom have brought us to this dawn."

Raja merely shrugged, offering a modest smile. "It wasn't just me, Professor. We all played a part."

As they began their walk back to the castle, each member of the Order knew that while there would always be battles to fight, the greatest threat to their world had been vanquished. And as they left the forest behind, they carried with them a renewed hope—a hope that would guide them into a brighter future.
