Sirin clutched her forehead in pain, glaring at the seemingly harmless Fu Shi, and threatened, "How dare you hurt me? Just wait... I'll get my brother to teach you a lesson!"
She then threw herself into Fu Lin's arms, sniffling and pointing at the Herrscher of Knowledge as she complained, "Brother, she bullied me..."
Fu Shi looked at Sirin nestled in Fu Lin's embrace and couldn't understand. Where did the Queen of Honkai, Sirin, go? How had she turned into this...
With a look of disbelief, she exclaimed, "You're the Queen of Honkai! How can you..."
------------------------
"Cough, cough! Fu Shi, I'll leave Sirin to you to pacify." Fu Lin looked at the bickering pair and felt a headache coming on, then handed Sirin over to Fu Shi.
Sirin and Fu Shi stared at each other, both looking displeased.
Sirin, "???" I've already swallowed my pride, so why isn't this going as I planned...
Fu Shi, "???" Damn it, why do I have to pacify her?!
"Sakura, when are you going to cook?" Fu Lin ignored the two childish individuals and turned to ask Yae Sakura, their all-around caretaker.
"Mm~... Is it finally time to eat?" Wutong, who seemed a bit drowsy, quickly perked up at the mention of food and spoke excitedly.
As if it wasn't her who almost got poisoned yesterday.
"...Mr. Chicken, we don't have any ingredients..." Yae Sakura hurriedly put away the magazine in her hands, her face slightly flushed as she spoke after hearing Fu Lin's question.
"No ingredients, huh... Fu Shi, what about that egg of yours?" Fu Lin, recalling Fu Shi's egg, asked with a hint of greed in his tone.
Fu Shi looked warily at the obviously ill-intentioned Fu Lin. "Huh? What are you planning? That's not for eating."
"I was just asking." Fu Lin gave up on the idea of eating the egg after seeing Fu Shi's guarded expression.
"Good." Fu Shi breathed a sigh of relief, then proudly pulled out a giant egg and said, "After two days of my careful care, it already has two auspicious clouds on it. It's sure to hatch in no more than ten days."
Fu Lin looked at the slightly larger egg in Fu Shi's hands, which indeed had two blood-red clouds swirling around it, and its aura of destruction had grown stronger.
Perhaps it was because Fu Lin had been staring at the egg with a predatory gaze for too long, but the egg in Fu Shi's arms seemed to tremble slightly before calming down again.
"Did that egg just move?" Fu Lin rubbed his eyes and looked at the egg again, asking with some doubt.
Hearing Fu Lin's words, Fu Shi excitedly lifted the egg for a closer look, sensing it with their abilities before exclaiming, "Yay! There's definitely a conscious presence now—it's just newly born!"
"Looks like I'll have my own companion soon."

On the surface, Sirin seemed unimpressed, but deep down, she had already decided to go to Siberia tomorrow to find this world's Bella. She couldn't let Bella fall into danger again.
"Since it's already conscious, I guess I'll have to go catch a few red chickens. Otherwise, we'll go hungry tonight." Fu Lin said, holding the bow formed by Chao Ming.
"How can you go hunting without me? I'm coming too!" Fu Shi put the egg away and conjured a bow using Honkai energy.
"I'm coming as well," Sirin said, moving to Fu Lin's side.
Fu Lin nodded with difficulty. "...Let's hope there are enough red chickens in the mountains, or else..."
"Good luck, Master. Bring back a few more," Wutong called out to the departing group.
"They're already gone... Kallen, you're so beautiful..." Yae Sakura said, blushing as she reopened her magazine.
...
"Red chickens, where are the red chickens~" Fu Shi walked along the deserted path, glancing at the quiet forest around them with frustration.
"Not a single red chicken along the way. That's odd." Fu Lin scratched his head in confusion, then pointed to the eerie forest ahead. "Let's go a bit further; maybe we'll find some up ahead."
"Let's follow Big Brother." Sirin held Fu Lin's hand and followed behind him.
"Maybe there aren't any red chickens in this Taixuan Mountain at all. The ones we saw before might've escaped from someone's yard," Fu Shi speculated.
As soon as Fu Shi finished speaking, a cacophony of clucking came from not far ahead. Fu Lin and the others, thrilled, ran forward, where they were greeted by a flock of red chickens and black chickens...
"Wow, speaking of red chickens, here they are! And so many of them! I won't hold back!" Fu Shi excitedly pulled back her bow and loosed an arrow at a plump red chicken, successfully taking down the first prey.
"My turn☆!" Sirin summoned several spears and hurled them at the red chickens.
As a few red chickens fell, the rest began to realize what was happening. The mountain echoed with frantic clucking as the chickens scattered in all directions in a panic.
