Bab 1: Chapter 1: The Fall of Rift

The sky bled a deep red, streaked with black, as though the heavens themselves had wept for the devastation below. A colossal silver dragon cut through the heavy air, its rider standing tall despite the endless days of battle. Nathan van Dragonborne's silver hair shimmered under the red hue, his golden pupils locked on the figure before him, Rift, the demon king of space, floating amidst the wreckage of shattered dimensions. Rift's presence warped the air, sending shivers down the spines of even the most hardened warriors below.

For nearly a week, Nathan had fought, his body aching and bruised, his mind tired but unyielding. The dragon beneath him, his trusted companion for years, breathed heavily, its scales showing signs of wear. But the bond between dragon and rider was strong, stronger than Rift's dark power.

"This ends now," Nathan murmured, his voice soft but filled with determination. He lifted his Sword, shimmering silver in the eerie light, and with a final command, his dragon surged forward. Rift let out a snarl, attempting to tear the very fabric of space to escape, but it was too late. Nathan's Sword, glowing with the silver power of time and dimensions, pierced through the demon king's heart, silencing his roar forever.

As Rift's body disintegrated, the world trembled, the spatial barrier that had kept the demon armies at bay collapsing in on itself. The once impenetrable wall between their realms was gone. The allied army of elves, dwarves, fairies, and humans, stormed through the breach, entering the demon territory at last.

The battle had shifted, but the war was far from over.

---

Months passed. The allied army fought relentlessly, pushing deeper into the demon lands. Though Rift had fallen, the remaining demon kings wreaked havoc. The battlefields were soaked with the blood of both allies and enemies. Every day was a struggle for survival, each victory overshadowed by heavy losses.

Nathan, now a key figure among the allied leaders, did not fight alone. Beside him stood Sophie Livia, a High Elf blessed by the goddess of life. Her magic was unlike any other; it was pure, radiant, and unwavering. The spirits she commanded fought alongside them, their ethereal forms weaving through the battlefield, healing wounds, and shielding their allies from fatal blows. Nathan would often catch her eyes during battle, and despite the chaos surrounding them, they would share a brief moment of unspoken understanding, of shared purpose.

Then there was Freya Mistuk, the fairy-human hybrid. As an Archmage who had reached the pinnacle of magic, her spells shaped the battlefield. Torrents of fire, ice, and lightning ripped through demon ranks, her power unmatched by any living mage. Her presence was a beacon of hope to the allies, but she too bore the weight of war on her shoulders.

In addition to these two, the allied forces were supported by saintess Lira Havenmor, whose divine magic kept morale high, and a master craftsman dwarf Belgin whose creations turned the tide of many skirmishes. Their leadership, though strained, was the reason the allied armies had survived this long.

One by one, the demon kings began to fall.

The demon kings of Sin, Inferno, Hell, Frost, and Calamity—beings who had terrorized the world for centuries....were sealed away, their powers bound by Time magic & Seal magic of fairies. But not without a cost. With each victory, the toll on the Allied forces grew. Many leaders, friends, and comrades were lost along the way. The only demon king left unsealed, the vampire king, who remained elusive, his whereabouts unknown.

---

As the war reached its final stages, there was a rare moment of quiet in the Allied camp. The night was cool, the stars twinkling in the distance, far removed from the horrors of battle. Nathan sat on a stone near the edge of the camp, his gaze fixed on the sky. His dragon lay nearby, resting, its body healing slowly from the wounds of their latest fight.

Soft footsteps approached, and Nathan turned to see Sophie walking towards him. Her long, silver hair, much like his, shimmered in the moonlight, her emerald eyes filled with warmth despite the hardship they had faced.

"You should be resting," she said softly, sitting beside him. Her voice carried a tenderness that was reserved for moments like this, away from the battlefield.

"I could say the same to you," Nathan replied with a small smile, but his expression soon grew serious.

"It's almost over, Sophie. But I fear what comes after. I don't know if I can go back to being the person I was before this war."

Sophie placed a hand on his arm, her touch gentle.

"None of us will be the same, Nathan. But that doesn't mean we can't rebuild. There's still hope for a future beyond this war."

He turned to look at her, his golden eyes softening.

"I couldn't have made it this far without you. Every time I thought I would fall, you were there. I don't know if I ever told you that."

"You don't have to," she whispered, leaning closer.

"I've always known."

There was a long pause, filled only by the soft sounds of the camp. Nathan hesitated for a moment, but then, in a voice barely above a whisper, he asked,

"Sophie, there's something I need to ask you."

She tilted her head slightly, her gaze curious.

"What is it?"

"I've felt... something growing between us for a long time now. But with the war, I didn't know how to say it, or if I even should." He took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts.

"I love you, Sophie. I don't want to lose you, not after everything we've been through."

Sophie smiled softly, tears gathering in her eyes as she placed her other hand on his cheek.

"Nathan, I love you too. I have for a long time. And... there's something else."

Nathan's heart raced as he searched her eyes.

"What is it?"

"I'm pregnant," she whispered, her voice trembling slightly with a mix of fear and joy. "We're going to have a child."

For a moment, Nathan was speechless. The weight of the war, the endless battles, all seemed to fade away in that instant. His hand found hers, holding it tightly.

"A child?" he repeated, his voice filled with awe.

"Sophie, that's... I don't know what to say."

"We don't know what the future holds, but I know we'll face it together," Sophie said, her voice steady now.

Nathan pulled her close, holding her tightly as the world around them seemed to grow a little quieter, a little more hopeful.

Whatever battles lay ahead, they would face them together, not just as warriors, but as a family.
