Bab 17: End of killgrave

Ash looked at the beaten-up Killgrave and walked over to him, his glowing eyes casting a menacing shadow. Killgrave's expression shifted to one of fear as Ash leaned down, speaking in a slow, deliberate voice, and whispered in his ear. "Did you think your punishment was over? No… this is only the beginning. I'll make sure you feel worse than all the innocent people you've hurt."

With that, Ash pulled out a gadget that looked like a simple teapot. It was called the Adventure Tea. In his past life, he remembered seeing it in the Doraemon show, where it was made for people wanting to experience a thrilling adventure. A sip of the tea would make every action feel like a dangerous quest—even walking up the stairs would feel like scaling a mountain. Ash recalled that Nobita's father had once mistakenly drunk an entire cup, which left him traumatized by an overwhelming sense of adventure.

Ash had a similar plan for Killgrave. He grabbed Killgrave by the back of his head and forced him to drink the entire pot of tea, which would be enough to last him a month or two.

In Killgrave's perception, everything around him began to shift. The vigilante standing before him took on the appearance of a dragon from myth, towering over him with eyes that seemed to burn. The captives nearby appeared as bloodthirsty wolves, snarling and glaring at him. His entire world morphed into a nightmarish scene that would haunt him for a long time.

Ash stepped back, listening to Killgrave's frantic breathing and muttering. What he had just done was something no sane person should endure, but Killgrave was different. He was a monster in human skin who had destroyed countless lives, and leaving him unchecked would only lead to more harm.

As Ash watched, Zoe's voice sounded in his ear. "Ash, the police have arrived. They're just outside."

"That's good," Ash replied, waiting for the officers to enter.

Outside, more than thirty police officers, guns drawn, approached the broken warehouse door. Leading them were Captain George Stacy and his trusted subordinate, Harvey.

"Stay sharp, and follow behind me," ordered Captain Stacy as he moved cautiously forward.

When the police entered the warehouse, they stopped in shock. The room was filled with unconscious men sprawled on the ground, with one of them barely clinging to consciousness. In the middle of it all stood Ash, the new hero of New York, while a group of exhausted, frightened women stood nearby, looking relieved to see the police.

Seeing the officers arrive, Ash stepped forward and nodded at Captain Stacy. "You guys finally made it. Did you get the documents I sent over?"

"Yes, we did," replied Captain Stacy, still wary of the masked vigilante. He eyed Ash carefully, not quite ready to fully trust him.

"Good. The guy lying over there is Killgrave, the one responsible for all this," Ash said, motioning toward the mind-controller's trembling figure on the ground.

"Alright, everyone on the ground goes in handcuffs. And get those women to safety," ordered Captain Stacy, gesturing for his officers to start the process.

"Yes, sir," they replied, springing into action as Captain Stacy turned back to Ash.

"What's that thing on Killgrave's neck?" he asked, noticing the unusual collar.

"That's something I made to block supernatural abilities," Ash explained. "This guy could command anyone to do anything just by speaking. Now that collar will protect you from his mind control."

Captain Stacy's eyes widened. "Mind control? So, he's some kind of mutant?"

"Not exactly," Ash clarified. "He got his powers from a chemical accident. So, he's human, but I'd still suggest caution."

Captain Stacy nodded, taking it all in. "We'll be careful. Thank you for your help tonight."

"You're welcome, Captain. But I have to go now. See you around," Ash said. With that, he took off, flying high above the city.

Meanwhile, back on the ground, Killgrave's hallucinations were in full effect. To him, the police officers looked like grotesque creatures dragging him away. He wailed and fought against them, but they only tightened their grip, puzzled by his behavior but chalking it up to something the vigilante must have done.

Once Ash was safely away, he called out to Zoe and returned to his apartment. He took off his suit, letting it shift back into bracelet form, and slumped onto his sofa.

"Hey, Zoe, I'm going to sleep. Wake me up in time for school tomorrow," he muttered.

"Yes, Ash," Zoe replied, and with that, Ash drifted off to sleep right there on the couch.

Meanwhile, the news of the night's events quickly spread, with major news corporations scrambling to cover the story. Supernatural occurrences were still rare, and the public was highly curious about any new hero sightings—especially the younger generation, who were excited by the idea of real-life superheroes.

Next Morning

"Wake up, Ash. It's time for school," Zoe's voice gently reminded him.

Ash groaned, stretching on the couch. "Ugh… another day of school," he muttered, yawning. He got up, took a quick shower, and put on fresh clothes. Heading to the table, he reached for his favorite gadget—the Gourmet Table Cloth.

"Pancakes and orange juice," he said aloud. Instantly, a plate of pancakes and a glass of juice appeared. Ash quickly ate, savoring the meal before grabbing his bag and slipping the bracelet-suit onto his wrist.

Walking to school, he enjoyed the quiet, early morning air. When he reached the school gate, he took a deep breath and headed inside.

In the hallway, he could hear whispers from other students, most likely because of what had happened with Flash yesterday. Ignoring them, he went to his locker, and there he saw her—a blonde girl with an angelic face, putting books into her own locker, which happened to be right next to his.

"Oh hey, looks like we're locker neighbors," he said, smiling.

The girl turned and smiled back. "Oh, you're Ash, right? We're in the same class. I'm Gwen Stacy, and yeah, I guess we are locker neighbors." She chuckled a little.

Ash laughed. "Well, nice to meet you, Miss Stacy." He offered a handshake, which she took with a friendly smile.

"Nice to meet you too," she replied. After a pause, she added, "By the way, I saw what you did to Flash yesterday. It was… awesome."

"Really?" Ash said, feeling a bit bashful. "Well, thanks."

She laughed softly. "Just watch out. Flash has a habit of holding grudges."

"Don't worry. I can handle him," Ash replied with a smirk, which made Gwen chuckle again.

They continued talking as they walked toward their classroom. Inside, Ash went over to Peter and Ned, who were talking at their desks, while Gwen took her seat.

Ash greeted Peter and Ned, and they looked up at him. As Peter opened his mouth to greet him back, Ned burst out, "Dude! Did you see the news this morning? That vigilante took down a guy who could mind-control people!" He excitedly shoved his phone toward Ash, showing him the headline.

"Oh, that? Yeah, I heard about it," Ash said casually.

Ned leaned closer, his eyes shining. "This means we have actual supervillains now. Isn't that insane?"

Ned kept rambling about the news until the teacher walked in and asked the class to settle down.

"Alright, everyone," the teacher announced. "Next week, we're going on a field trip to Oscorp Industries."

The class reacted with mixed responses. Some students looked bored, while others, like Peter and Gwen, were clearly thrilled at the news.

Ash's mind raced as he processed the announcement. He knew what this trip might mean—the start of Spider-Man's story was close.
