Bab 42: Pushing Their Advantage

The newly arrived group stood in a tight formation: the bruiser out front with a large shield, flanked by two spears wielding their weapons with confidence.

The runner, clutching her severed arm, was now on the other side of the clearing, trapped between Talon, Jason, and her approaching team.

She looked unwell, to the point of fainting.

No one moved. The clearing was tense, the air thick with anticipation. Both sides waited for someone to make the first move.

'No controller? Or are they hiding their ability behind the chaos?'

Talon's mind raced. The formation was strong but unbalanced. Their lack of versatility might be an opening, if they played their cards right.

'Have they spotted Kieran?'

Talon glanced upward but couldn't see him through the dense canopy. Still, he trusted Kieran to be in position, scope trained on one of their enemies, waiting for the perfect moment.
