Erased evidence 

Sam pov 

As we pulled up to the police station, Eliana's hand clamped around my arm, guiding me out of the car with a sternness that bordered on theatrical. I bit back a retort, willing myself to stay calm as we strode through the station doors. Inside, her aura commanded respect; every officer we passed greeted her with nods and respectful glances. She was clearly well-regarded here, which only added to the injustice of this situation.

"Hey, Eliana, what's he in for?" one officer asked, chuckling as his eyes flicked to me with mild curiosity.

"Oh, just another reckless type," she said, her tone laced with a smugness that made my jaw tighten. "One of those entitled types who thinks he can speed down the streets like he owns them."

The officer laughed, giving me a once-over. "Sounds like he needs a reality check."
