The next few days went by in a blur of preparations. The organization was proceeding as planned, and despite the tension simmering between Eason and me, the show had to go on. The fallout from Mike’s accusations had shaken everyone, but Sylvie, true to her relentless nature, pushed forward.

After multiple failed attempts to reach Mike directly, she managed to contact the organizers of the Stanley Cup, securing their cooperation. Somehow, they got Mike to agree to have his day-to-day training and his participation in the upcoming tournament filmed. Sylvie didn’t provide details on how they convinced him, but she instructed me to be at the rink as the company’s representative when the broadcast began.

The fact that I was still thinking about Eason throughout all of this didn’t make things any easier.
