Bab 8: #8 Back to the Basics
Instead Kaguya decided to push things further. She activated her most powerful ocular ability—the Rinnesharingan. The slit-like eye on her forehead opened, and immediately the world around her changed.
Her vision expanded beyond the physical world. She could see the very structure of reality itself—the way space and time flowed, the way gravity pulled on objects, people, and even the ground beneath him.She could feel the faint currents of natural energy swirling around, though they were so weak it felt almost pointless to tap into them. She saw no ninja systems, no chakra pathways, nothing that resembled the Naruto world besides natural energy at all.
Kaguya deactivated the eye, letting out a shaky breath. "I could really mess things up with this..."
She decided to return to basics. She remembered the early episodes of Naruto, where the characters learned to control their chakra through exercises like sticking objects to their skin or walking up walls. Even though chakra was nonexistent in this world, she still had a significant amount of it flowing through him.
She grabbed a sheet of paper from her desk and focused, channeling a small amount of chakra into her hand. The paper immediately stuck to her palm, clinging to her skin as though glued. She grinned. "Alright, that was easy."
Next, she picked up a knife. Let's see how far this goes. She held the knife against her arm, concentrating. Once again, the blade stuck effortlessly. She gently tried pulling it off, but it clung stubbornly to her skin. Kaguya laughed softly. "Okay, this is cool."
She moved on to heavier objects—plates, books, even the small lamp by her bedside. Everything stuck to her with minimal effort. Chakra control, at least, was easy.
Feeling confident, She took things a step further. She channeled chakra into the soles of her feet, the same way she had seen Naruto and Sasuke do in their training sessions. She walked over to the wall and placed one foot on it. The chakra instantly connected her to the surface, like a magnet clinging to metal.
Slowly, carefully, she lifted his other foot and began to walk up the wall. Her heart raced with excitement. "Holy crap… I'm doing it."
Step by step, she ascended the wall, until she was standing upside down on the ceiling. The blood rushed to her head, but the thrill of success overpowered any discomfort. "I'm literally walking on the ceiling. This is insane!"
She took a few cautious steps, feeling the chakra flow through her effortlessly. It was like second nature. The basic techniques that took years for ninja to master in the anime were coming to her instinctively.
After a while, Kaguya dropped back down to the floor, her mind racing. Everything about Chakra seemed to come naturally to her, even in a world with no chakra. But it left her with more questions than answers.
"Why is this so easy?" She wondered aloud.
She could soon gain control—complete control—over these godlike abilities, but the absence of chakra in the world made her feel like an outsider, like a god trapped in a prison.
Still, she couldn't help but feel a sense of exhilaration. She could use his powers. He could master them. And if anyone ever tried to come after her, well…
