You can read at your own risk. To be honest, the reason why I pushed through reading this was because the translation did really well here. However I am not a fan of the ML who is a bit chauvinist. The phrases, "He still did it with her even though she was having a very high fever" and something along the lines of "she still needs to prove herself" or something. The relatives are no good either. Her siblings sold her for $3k yuan to the ML. The ones who "supported" her says they agreed because he can support her through college well in fact they were in the era where the government provided subsides and the tuition was free. Well, I have not yet finished all the chapters available so I am not sure how this will pan out. But I really admire the translator here. kudos to you!
This book just triggers all the bad things in me. What is wrong with these characters?! ML is a coward, stubborn and utterly disgusting. He feels guilty for indirectly almost causing the FL to miscarry in this life (she miscarried the first) but at the same time he was disappointed bc - it was something along the lines of “she only amounts/capable at this”. Srsly bro, what’s wrong with you?
Both MCs aren't perfect,they have many flaws as human beings. To some extent as a story reader you might find boredom about their character as we fantasize about MCs as perfect, but here they aren't. what i don't like about this novel is that the story development is slow and WB isn't defined clearly. About FL she isn't ambitious at all, at least after being reborn after living so much she is just like nothing as MC. it's like a robot without any feelings or ambition. At least ML knew himself well but FL i don't like her much.(up to 100 chapters)
