"Damn it, that bastard Plink! Using our father to sway things—what a dirty trick."

"What will you do?" one of Wyzebel's aides asked.

My first avatar focused on Wyzebel, who was pacing with frustration.

"We'll have to go along with the truce, at least on the surface. But behind the scenes? I'll weaken the Mafia and take over their operations myself."

Of course, both sides were scheming the same thing. Predictable.

"Keheheh, this will be a goldmine," Plink muttered to himself, as opportunistic as ever.

Then a servant interrupted. "Lady Vaipannu is here to see you."

Vaipannu—the serpent woman.

"Hm, I'm a little short on funds," Plink mused. "Ah, I'll sell her information about the truce ceremony. A broker like her will pay a high price for that."
