Bab 47: Notorious Buildup

Emma gripped Scott's arm a little tighter and her smile grew brighter as she spotted Nadia on the other side of the room.

… clak────KLAK!!

Her high heels tapped quickly against the marble floor, the sound echoing as she hurried forward, practically dragging Scott with her.

She moved with the kind of excitement you'd see in a puppy chasing after its favorite toy.

"Nadiaaaaa~!"

Emma's sing-song voice broke the conversations of many around them, causing the princess to look their way.

Nadia stood calmly.

"Em…"

Her elegant posture broken just a little by the slight lift of one eyebrow as she watched Emma rush toward her like an overly excited kid.

The six massive bodyguards tensed up as their eyes shifted to Scott, but Nadia held up a hand to keep them in place. She wasn't worried… more curious than anything else.
