Bab 26: Chapter 26: The Death of Nansa
Aoki referred to it as a "strange illness" because if it were an ordinary disease, Aoki was sure the Medical Nin would be able to cure it.
"I don't want you to worry... cough... cough..." Nansa replied, coughing with an increasingly pale face.
"Aunt Nansa!" Aoki exclaimed, worried.
"It's okay, Aoki. I know my time is near... I think I will die today. That's why I want to say goodbye," Nansa said in a voice that was growing weaker.
Hearing these words, Aoki fell silent. He stared at Nansa for a moment, feeling a deep sadness enveloping his heart. Slowly, Aoki took a few steps back, then with great respect, he bowed before Nansa.
"Thank you, Aunt Nansa, for being with me since my parents passed away. I have come to consider you as family. Thank you for advising me all this time, thank you for scolding me when I was wrong, thank you for taking care of me all this time... thank you... hic... hic..." Aoki said, tears beginning to flow down his face.
Nansa was silent for a moment, looking at Aoki with a gentle, heartfelt gaze. She tried to hide her sadness behind her fragile smile, then slowly stroked Aoki's head.
"Aoki... I should be the one thanking you. You make me feel so important, and I am grateful you are here now," Nansa's voice was soft and warm. "Because there is something I want to tell you."
Nansa took a deep breath, gathering her strength before continuing, "In your parents' room, there is a necklace... a necklace that your father used to wear often. Before he left, your father once told me that if he didn't have the chance to give it to you, I must make sure you know about that necklace. That's why I'm telling you now, Aoki."
Nansa recalled that memory with a distant look in her eyes, as if she were returning to a past full of memories.

Aoki, although he did not fully understand the meaning of Nansa's words, felt that this was Nansa's last wish. With a heavy heart, Aoki could only nod, agreeing to the request.
Nansa then turned her gaze to Yono, who stood behind Aoki with tear-filled eyes. "Yono, do you remember your promise to me back then? You promised to stop working at the restaurant and continue your family's weapon shop business. I hope... you will keep your promise now."
With an emotional voice, Yono replied, "Of course, Aunt Nansa."
Nansa smiled weakly, as if the burden on her heart was beginning to lift. "If so... I think... my time... has come..." Nansa's last words were spoken softly before she closed her eyes forever.
Aoki's heart raced. With wide eyes, Aoki shook Nansa's body. "Aunt Nansa! Yono, quickly call the Medical Nin! Now!" Aoki shouted with a mix of anger and panic.
The Medical Nin soon arrived, trying to calm Aoki, who kept calling Nansa's name desperately. When one of the Medical Nin finally confirmed Nansa's death, Aoki's screams grew louder. He tried to fight off the Medical Nin who were holding him back, until one of them decided to render Aoki unconscious.

After Aoki left, Kuzan could only stare at Aoki's retreating back, his gaze filled with sorrow. In Kuzan's mind, the image of Nansa, a figure who often came to the shop, echoed. Nansa was not just a customer, but also a long-known friend. Knowing that Nansa was dying broke Kuzan's heart.
Kuzan took a deep breath, trying to ease his sadness. He ignored Aoki's earlier behavior of speaking to him without respect.
