As the sailor's body weakened, he could no longer maintain his Martial Soul transformation. Even the soul power surrounding him dissipated into the air, like faint starlight. His movements slowed, and he looked at Ye Tian in disbelief.
The opponent remained standing, eyes still closed, without any sign of having made a move. Yet, the injury on the sailor's chest was unmistakably real.
With a soft thud, the sailor's body slumped to the deck, never to rise again. Until his death, he didn't know how he had been killed.
The other sailors were petrified by this sight. The scene had changed too quickly for them to even comprehend what had happened. After all, they were all at least Soul Elders with four soul rings.
But even so, none of them had seen how Ye Tian attacked.
For a moment, the remaining sailors felt their legs go weak. They had no idea how to face the now-mysterious Ye Tian.
Yet time didn't give these sailors a chance.
Puchi!
The exact same sound echoed once again across the ship. Then, one after another, it continued, rising and falling like a chorus. Each sound marked a sailor falling into a pool of blood.
There were no exceptions. There were no screams, because it all happened too fast. It was like lightning flashing across the sky.
When Ye Tian finally opened his eyes again, the entire deck was stained with blood. Not a single soul was left alive.
Ye Tian sighed softly. "Men die for wealth, as birds die for food."
Perhaps these sailors were not evil soul masters. But the moment they chose to chase after money, they were destined to stand on the opposite side of survival.
Ye Tian's sigh was not for their lives, but for their wasted potential. These people spent half their lives working hard, only to die in the open sea. Becoming a soul master had not brought them power or glory—only a doomed path of no return.
Decades of hard work, and they weren't even worthy of being someone else's stepping stone.
With a brief sigh, Ye Tian collected his thoughts and gazed far toward Soro Island. Since the island had no port, Qian Renxue and the others had traveled there in a small boat. From where he stood on the large ship, he could barely make out a few figures in the distance, though their identities were no longer distinguishable.
At this moment, several grappling hooks latched onto the ship's railing. Moments later, seven or eight "Polaris" soldiers in diving suits, armed with sniper rifles, climbed aboard and saluted Ye Tian.
Ye Tian raised his hand slightly and said calmly, "Check the ship for any survivors, and throw all the corpses into the sea."
The ocean is the best cleaner. It wouldn't take long for the bodies to be completely devoured by fish.
Then, Ye Tian looked at the commanding officer and said, "Give me your binoculars."
"Yes, sir!"
The officer respectfully complied, removing the binoculars from his waist and handing them to Ye Tian.
Taking the binoculars, Ye Tian gazed toward Soro Island.
In his view, Qian Renxue and her party had already landed. Qian Gu Shizhen was beaming with joy, his steps almost becoming a skip. The fisherman, walking ahead, pointed to a damp cave entrance and said, "This is where the Spear Douluo resides."
Qian Renxue's beautiful eyes glanced indifferently at the entrance. Her delicate eyebrows furrowed high.
"Although I don't come to the seaside often, I know that an entrance like this would surely be flooded by the rising tide. How could anyone live in such a place?"
Hearing this, the fisherman became terrified. They were already at Soro Island, and no matter what he said, he couldn't hide the fact that he had been lying.
The fisherman nervously looked toward Qian Gu Shizhen.
"Hahaha."
Qian Gu Shizhen, however, remained calm and unbothered. He walked up to the fisherman, gently patted him on the shoulder, and said playfully, "Your acting isn't good enough. The Crown Prince discovered your lie before even entering the cave."
Then, he suddenly gripped tightly.
The fisherman's pupils dilated, and blood poured from his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. Without even a chance to struggle, he collapsed to the ground.
"Qian Gu Shizhen, what are you doing?" Aude suddenly became alert.
"Do you realize that deceiving the Crown Prince and murdering innocent civilians are crimes that could strip you of your rank and imprison you for ten years?" Aude accused.
"Oh, I'm so scared," Qian Gu Shizhen mocked with gritted teeth and wide, angry eyes.
Then, with a mad laugh, he said, "This was all orchestrated by the Spirit Hall! What does it have to do with me?"
Aude's face went pale, and he stepped back repeatedly, pointing at Qian Gu Shizhen in fury.
"You're trying to assassinate the Crown Prince and blame it on the Spirit Hall!" Aude shouted.
"Haha, you're only realizing that now? Too late!" Qian Gu Shizhen sneered.
He glanced at the people around him and said, "Since everyone's here... wait, someone's missing."
Suddenly, Qian Gu Shizhen remembered that Ye Tian wasn't among them, likely still aboard the ship.
"That lucky dog!" Qian Gu Shizhen spat.
"But since you're here, no one's escaping!"
"Such arrogance!" Aude was livid.
"Qian Gu Shizhen! Your Qian Gu family owes everything to the Emperor—your food, your clothes, your power, and your glory! And in the end, you've turned out to be a traitorous wolf!"
"Today, I will see how you plan to harm the Crown Prince!" Aude's voice roared.
"Earth Dragon Martial Soul, emerge!"
As his voice fell, six soul rings lit up around Aude. As the Crown Prince's chief steward, his cultivation had already reached level sixty-three. His Martial Soul was also unique, containing a trace of dragon blood.
If he unleashed its full potential, even a Soul Sage would find him difficult to face in battle.
Aude's eyes turned red with fury as he declared, "Today, even if I have to sacrifice my life, I will leave you here on Soro Island!"
"How noisy," Qian Gu Shizhen sneered. "I know you possess Earth Dragon blood and can temporarily stand against a Soul Sage. But..."
Halfway through his sentence, Qian Gu Shizhen's expression turned cold. "I am an evil soul master!"
Boom! A terrifying blood fiend force erupted from Qian Gu Shizhen's body, making his voice sound eerie.
He glanced at his subordinates and shouted, "What are you waiting for? Attack!"
"Yes, sir!"
At his command, the dozen guards with him unleashed their powers.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The overwhelming blood energy, mixed with soul power, turned the area into a dense blood mist.
This was Qian Gu Shizhen's ultimate skill. The blood mist, united, created a field-like effect, enhancing his power to that of a Contra.
"I'll kill you!" Aude roared, his Earth Dragon scales protruding as he charged at Qian Gu Shizhen's weak spot.
"Die!"
Qian Gu Shizhen took a step forward and swung his evil dragon staff, smashing it down with full force.
Bang! It struck Aude's head directly.
"Aah!"
Aude only had time to scream once before falling, without having a chance to unleash any of his power.
With Aude dead, Qian Gu Shizhen's gaze shifted toward Qian Renxue, advancing with an evil grin.
"Your Highness, forgive me, but it's time for you to go to hell!"
