Bab 3: Preparations
An hour later, Qin Wu arrived at City T's livestock market.
This time, she didn't take a taxi.
Instead, she rented an animal transport lorry and drove it to the market.
After she arrived, she parked in the parking lot and walked into the market.
However, her presence did not go unnoticed.
"Why did such a woman come to the livestock market?" A middle-aged man asked with a confused expression.
After all, Qin Wu was still wearing a white formal pantsuit and white high heels.
Rather than a livestock market, she looked more suitable for a boardroom.
"Who cares?" A woman snorted with narrowed eyes.
"Look, she is going to Uncle Li's pig shed."
After that, Qin Wu ignored the strange looks and bought one hundred animals.
Of the one hundred, there were pigs, cows, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, horses, donkeys, and others.
After leaving the livestock market, Qin Wu drove her lorry to the fish market.
However, buying fish was trickier than buying land animals.
Eventually, she bought some fish tanks and used them to temporarily store the fish.
'I will dig some fish ponds in the space when I have time.' She thought.
Although Qin Wu received speculative looks because of her strange behaviour, she didn't care.
After all, the world was about to end.
When the apocalypse came, no one would have the time to think about the strange woman in the livestock and fish markets.
After leaving the fish market, Qin Wu drove to a remote place on the city outskirts.
"This place should be good enough." She muttered and jumped out of the lorry.
With a vigilant expression, she looked around and then put away the lorry before taking out her car.
At this time, it was approaching eight in the evening, and Qin Wu felt a little tired.
However, she was also excited.
Tonight would be the first time she slept in the same house as Mo Chenxuan.
If she had her way, she would directly sleep in his bed.
However, for now, she was satisfied with just being in the same house.
"If only the apocalypse could delay for another two days." Qin Wu muttered with an unfocused expression.
If it could, she would spend a little more time with Mo Cheenxuan before they had to focus on surviving.
Unfortunately, time waited for no man.
While Qin Wu was fantasising, her phone suddenly rang.
"Hello." She immediately answered.
"Secretary Qin." A deep voice greeted.
"It's almost eight. Are you on your way?"
Hearing the words, Qin Wu frowned and her eyebrows creased in confusion.
'Why does he sound a little different from usual? He sounds a little…, anxious?' Qin Wu surmised.
However, she didn't dwell on the matter.
Instead, her heart skipped ten beats, and a smile appeared on her beautiful face.
In the end, what mattered was that Mo Chenxuan called her.
Even if the man didn't say anything important, Qin Wu was happy.
"I am about to get into the car. I should be there in twenty minutes."
When he heard that, Mo Chenxuan was relieved.
However, neither his expression nor tone of voice revealed his current state of mind.
Instead, an emotionless voice travelled across the call.
"Drive straight in when you arrive. The servants have the day off."
"Okay." Qin Wu said in a calm voice.
However, she was far from calm.
As soon as she heard the servants were away, all kinds of crazy thoughts appeared in her mind.
In one fantasy, she 'lost' her way and 'accidentally' entered the wrong room.
Unexpectedly, the 'wrong' room belonged to Mo Chenxuan.
Even more 'unexpected', Mo Chenxuan had just come out of the shower.
He had a towel in his right hand and another around his waist.
For some cosmic reason, his waist towel came undone, and Qin Wu got an unforgettable eyeful.
After that…
"Secretary Qin." A voice interrupted her delusion, and Qin Wu forcibly suppressed her galloping heart.
"Boss, did you say something?" She hurriedly asked.
"Have you had dinner?"
"Not yet." Qin Wu said, and a cunning light flashed in her eyes.
"Shall I buy dinner on my way there?"
"No need." Mo Chenxuan said and continued before Qin Wu could say anything.
"Drive safely."
After saying that, the man hung up and Qin Wu couldn't help but be shocked.
"What does he mean? Is there food in the villa?"
"It doesn't matter. Let's get there first. If there is no food, I will whip up some egg noodles."
Twenty-five minutes later, Qin Wu arrived at Mo Chenxuan's villa.
Unexpectedly, the front door opened when the car stopped and a beautiful man came out of the house.
'He is so perfect.' Qin Wu almost drooled, her red lips curled in a seductive arc.
A moment later, Qin Wu got out of the car and walked towards Mo Chenxuan.
"I am sorry to keep you waiting." She said.
"Come in."
After that, Qin Wu followed Mo Chenxuan into the house.
"There is dinner. Do you want to eat before work?"
"Eeerm…, I want to shower first." Qin Wu said.
Although she didn't think she smelled bad, she was self-conscious.
After all, it was summer, and she had been to the livestock and fish markets.
"Your room is upstairs." Mo Chenxuan said and immediately led the way.
Two minutes later, the two arrived in front of a guest bedroom.
"I won't be long." Qin Wu promised, and Mo Chenxuan nodded.
However, he didn't really care.
As long as she was within his reach, nothing else mattered.
With such thoughts, Mo Chenxuan went downstairs while Qin Wu entered the guest bedroom.
Thirty minutes later, an extraordinary beauty came down the stairs and walked towards Mo Chenxuan.
As usual, she was dressed in white.
However, she wasn't wearing a formal suit or any work clothes Mo Chenxuan had ever seen.
Instead, she wore a semi-formal knee-length white dress, same colour high heels, and bright red lipstick.
When Mo Chenxuan saw the woman, his heart skipped a beat, and his silver eyes became unfocused.
