Rhaegar looked like hell. 

Covered in dust and dirt along with dried blood, his hair was all messy and tangled and his features got unusually sharp as if he had not eaten or drunk anything for the past few days. 

His face looked extremely tired and almost devoid of life, and Lorelai could not help but wonder what in the world had happened to him once he escaped the gladiator arena. 

'He must have been either running around to exhaust himself and force his wolf to step back or hiding somewhere far since both his and Duke Kalder's people have been looking for him without rest.'

As her gaze moved away from the king's face, she gasped, noticing the wounds on his chest and arms. 

The long, thick scratches on his upper body were already half-healed which was exactly what impressed the princess.
