Bab 58: Chapter 58: Anko Joins And Enters The Forest Of Death
"Next is the most critical question... the tenth one."
Morino Ibiki stood on the stage, staring sharply at everyone present, just like in the original story, and explained his rules. It was the choice to either continue or quit the test!
The Genin in the room were all stunned, calculating the risks and rewards in their minds.
This time, Naruto didn't stand up and shout as he did in the original story. He only had about 20,000 points left, so he needed to spend them wisely.
'Naruto... Since you're not giving up, I won't either.'
Looking at Naruto's back, Sakura thought firmly after hesitating for a moment.
Under the intense pressure, many Genin began to back out. This caused a chain reaction, and most of the remaining Genin were filled with anxiety.
"No one else is quitting?"
After waiting a few minutes, Morino Ibiki glanced around the room and confirmed once again when no one raised their hand.
The remaining Genin, except for a few, sat upright with tense expressions, gritting their teeth to push through.
"Then... heh heh. The first part of the Chūnin selection exam is over. You all passed!"
Morino Ibiki let out a mischievous chuckle before announcing loudly.
Everyone was stunned!
"What? We passed?"
"What about the tenth question?"
"Were the first nine questions pointless?"
After the initial surprise, some began questioning Ibiki's methods. He smirked, then untied his bandana, revealing his scars, and began his ninja lecture.
"Hinata, thank you for earlier. After the exam, I'll treat you to dinner."
Naruto wasn't paying attention to Ibiki's words. Instead, he turned to tease Hinata.
"D-dinner? Me?"
Hinata, who had been listening to the lesson intently, blushed furiously, fiddling with the hem of her clothes, too shy to speak. Her mind raced with thoughts of Naruto asking her out on a date.
Then... Hinata fainted, her face planted on the desk!
Naruto glanced at her, speechless. Could this really be his future wife? Would he have to carry her all the time?
Suddenly, two kunai flew through the window, sticking a black cloth to the wall.
A woman with a voluptuous figure appeared before the astonished candidates, covered in black lines.
"Don't celebrate just yet! I'm the second examiner, Mitarashi Anko. The next test is about to begin, so everyone follow me!"
Anko, dressed in a fishnet bodysuit and short skirt, loudly announced with high energy.
[Tsk tsk... Anko really is a beauty on par with Kurenai Yuhi. What a figure... How did she end up becoming so different in the future?]
Naruto mentally noted her appearance in his personal list.
Anko quickly gave out the location for the next day's competition and then disappeared just as swiftly.
"Little Sakura, Sako, you two head home first! I'll take care of Hinata."
Naruto effortlessly picked up the unconscious Hinata and addressed Sakura and Sako.
"Naruto, I'll walk with you."
Neji stepped forward, offering to accompany them.
"Sako, would you like to join me for some youth training?" Rock Lee appeared beside Sako, his eyes filled with fiery determination.
"Get lost…"
Sako's eyebrow twitched as she coldly uttered a single word. Lee immediately slumped to the ground, sulking and drawing circles with his finger.
"Do what you want, I'm heading out!" Naruto chuckled at the scene before walking out of the room, still carrying Hinata.
"Naruto, don't forget! We're having dinner at Mr. Kakashi's house tonight to celebrate passing the exam," Sakura reminded him in a soft voice as she hurried after him.
'Damn it, why is Naruto carrying Hinata? Could he like her? No way, he used to like me! I need to be generous… Can't let him know I'm jealous!'
"Got it," Naruto called back, not stopping as he left with Neji.
After many Genin had left, Ibiki collected the test papers. When he reached Naruto's blank paper, he paused for a moment.
"Did he figure out the real purpose of the test from the start? What a terrifying kid…"
Ibiki muttered in surprise, recalling Naruto's calm demeanor.
The next day.
"This is the second test site for the Chūnin exams: Training Ground 44, also known as the Forest of Death!"
Anko, still dressed in her striking outfit from yesterday, introduced the location loudly, standing before the vast forest.
Just then, a strange cuboid box suddenly appeared in front of Naruto, moving like a worm.
"Konohamaru, what are you doing now? Didn't I tell you to stop these silly tricks?" Naruto groaned, staring at the box in frustration.
"As expected of the big brother I admire! You recognized me right away. But I'm not doing anything silly this time. We're here for an interview for the school paper!" Konohamaru popped out of the box with Moegi and Udon, shouting excitedly.
His outburst drew everyone's attention.
"Haha... I almost forgot Hokage-sama's instructions. Everyone, take a short break and let them conduct their interview."
Anko scratched her head sheepishly after hearing Konohamaru's reason.
Everyone around paused...
'Is that Uchiha Sako? The one that Tokuro mentioned? A girl dressed like a man? Is this part of someone's plan? Oh well, it doesn't matter now.'
Orochimaru, disguised as a Kusagakure Genin, stared greedily at Sako with an unsettling intensity, like a creepy uncle.
"Stop staring at me with your disgusting eyes, or I'll kill you!"
Sako, whose strength had grown significantly, sensed Orochimaru's gaze and swiftly turned to meet it with her crimson Three Tomoe Sharingan, radiating killing intent.
'She already has the Three Tomoe Sharingan? As expected of a genius. Uchiha Sako is just as talented as Itachi. I look forward to seeing what you can become, Sako Uchiha...'
Orochimaru feigned indifference, but inside, his desire for Sako only grew stronger.
