Chapter 31: Elder
The previous night was much more lively than before. Mun Ku and Ryoung both have been chatting for nearly 3 hours.
One was giving reports of everything that happened in the academy between these 2 years.
While Ryoung was listening, thinking about the information he got the previous night was indeed something he didn't expect.
Sitting on a table and drinking his favourite tea made by a chef, Ryoung sipped and exhaled.

"What a beautiful day."
Murmured Ryoung and sipped the tea once more.
Ryoung's anxiousness and the burden of not preparing for the upcoming future have been lifted from his shoulders.
The reason is that Ryoung has achieved much more than he had imagined.

Seeing the status tab, a smile bloomed on Ryoung's face; the safe feeling he got after achieving this much strength was more satisfying than it seemed.

5 minutes later when the tea cup became empty, Ryoung stood smiling and strolled towards the director's office.
He was in a good mood today; strolling, he reached the office and knocked on the door.

Came a stern voice from behind the door; getting permission to enter, Ryoung didn't hesitate and opened the door.

Entering, he saw the director of the academy, Lee Hwamyung, sitting on the chair behind the table.
"What are you doing here, Master Ryoung."
Said Lee Hwamyung, the angry, stern voice that came while knocking on the door was nowhere to be seen; instead, a respectful tone came from his mouth.
Pleased with his attitude, Ryoung smiled and said,
"Director, I have come to let you know that I'm ready to take the 6th test."
His attitude was different from before, and this thing has been noticed by the director.
Whenever Ryoung came into the office or anywhere in the academy, his body would be tense; if you focused solely on his muscles, you could see them tightening.
But now that tense boy was simply standing while smiling, this thing confused Lee Hwamyung.
'The boy has changed, look like his seclusion has been fruitful.'
Thought Lee Hwamyung while writing a report on Ryoung's request to take the 6th test.
Because this test is appointed personally by the lord of the cult, you can choose your opponent elder yourself.
As for later, if the lord will consider it and give permission, it is not something that is in Lee Hwamyung's hand.
Scribbling something on the paper he asked,
"Which elder will you request to fight, Master Ryoung."

He became calculative in his moves, doing everything with a plan in his mind.
The reason for challenging any elder was simple, his prowess has reached a level where he could easily get toe to toe with cult leader.
And if he fought with his giving his all, then he could even draw with Murim's acknowledged Five Strongest Warriors.
Aside from that topic, Lee Hwamyung has completed his report and said to Ryoung.
"The 6th test is to fight with Council Elders, you know, right."
Ryoung nodded his head and asked.
"Yes, director, I know that, but when will it be?"
Listening to Ryoung, the director shook his head and said.
"Don't be impatient, This matter is not in my hand. Lord will decide it personally."
Ryoung didn't get surprised, but he was indeed amused; he knew that this generation's lord was someone who didn't like if anyone overstepped his Authority.
And the six clans are becoming more and more nuisance to his Authority.
So it's already clear that he will arrange the battle with someone from the six clans.
Ryoung talked with the director for some more time and then bid his farewell.
Appearing in his room he saw Mun ku already sitting there.
Thinking of scaring her, Ryoung hid his presence and walked slowly at her back; he stopped his breathing and all his senses were only focused on deceiving her.
He came near her ear and suddenly screamed in her ear.

"ARGH...who are you? Show yourself."
Yelled Mun ku at the prank that had been played on her, as for Ryoung.
He disappeared from there after screaming in her ear.
She ran and came outside of the room, coming there she noticed something.
' Huh.. eh, That was Ryoung's footwear.'
Thought Mun Ku when she saw the footwear placed on the corner of the doorstep.
Understanding what was happening she yelled,
"Ryoung come out, or I'll never talk to you."
Threatening him to show himself, she slowly stepped into the room, even now scared partially of the ghost.
Reaching the dining room, she saw Ryoung sitting there without any concern; it was like he didn't even know when she came.
"Don't ignore me, why did you scare me."
Said Mun ku, placing her hand on the table; Ryoung excused himself by saying.
"I am sitting here for an hour; when did you come."
Listening to him, she knew that he would not accept that he was the man who scared her. Sighing, Mun Ku sat along with him.
While they were bantering in a private room of Ryoung, The news of him taking the sixth test reached the lord of the cult.
In the courtroom of the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult, all Council Elders were present except Huan Yi.
Even if he was present here, his presence will not matter much in today's meeting.
"Please start the agenda of today, lord has arrived."
Said great guardian Marakyum while standing beside the throne of lord of the cult.
And like that, the courtroom started, and it ran smoothly till the last agenda.
"The last agenda is of a cadet taking the 6th test of the academy."
"He has requested any elder regarding their ranks."
As the Great Guardian Marakyum explained the last agenda, some of them became enraged.
"How arrogant, what did he think the elders are."
Said a wise and old elder, while stroking his beard.
There were only voices from some mid-sized clans and high-ranked clans.
There was not even one elder from the six clans who had protested anything about it.
Blade clan's elder and clan leader already knows this cadet and even hates him to the point of thinking of hiring assassins.
But while this cadet was in the academy, their blade clan had no significant influence.
As for why they didn't protest, they have known Great Guardian Marakyum for decades and know his habits.
Marakyum has a particular habit of not telling the whole matter in one go; that way, he can test who is loyal or not.

Thought Marakyum while every elder who was speaking became silent.
The one who stroked his beard and spoke first was the one more bewildered than anyone.
Suddenly, a deep voice came, giving its judgment.
"Bu Chu-Ryong will participate in the sixth test."
And with that, the meeting was concluded.
While This incident was happening, in an ordinary inn of the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult there was a woman who was brimming with joy.
The legend of Ryoung has spread even outside of the academy and in the cult.
Everyone knows the name of Ryoung and his feats in the academy.
And, of course, she also knows that the reason for happiness is none other than Ryoung.
Whenever she hears any rumour about him, she always gets happy.
In her inn, many Cultists come and eat or drink. That's the source of her information.
But what she doesn't know is that a storm is brewing in the cult, and she'll also get swept in that storm.
Aside from her, Ryoung's subordinates were all doing many significant things.
The giant boy has become their acting leader, and they all have the mission of becoming high-ranking officials in the Sichuan branch of the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult.
It was a direct order from the lord, not that the lord had seen something in them, but the sole reason was that they were Ryoung's subordinates.
What storm they will brew in the Sichuan region will be a sight to see.
