If only Chi could say something, anything, that sounded remotely plausible.
Chi continued, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, "That's why I came to seek your help. You must have detected the tremors near Huangshan. That wasn't an earthquake. It's Mei. He's been found. If this continues, the seal will break, and it will be a catastrophe for humanity."
"Who is Mei?" One-Eyed Man asked.
Chi said, "I'm telling you about something important."
"I'm trying to understand the situation. How can I know what's going on if you don't tell me?" One-Eyed Man didn't trust Chi. It was like someone who had beaten you for decades, a figure of nightmares, suddenly saying, "Let's stop fighting. Everything I did was to train you. "How does he compare to Lin Fan?" One-Eyed Man asked.
