The governor naturally had his own palace, which was also made of wood but each piece of wood was extremely strong.

It became his residence as well as the place where he practiced so he did not allow anyone to live with him including his wife and children.

They lived in different places and his adult children had their own homes.

This was also because his power was too great as a Magician King.

His practice sometimes accidentally released too strong an aura and his palace was shaken violently.

If weaker people were nearby, it was also dangerous for them.

The palace was surrounded by a simpler wooden fence with a few soldiers standing guard.

When Tommy arrived, all the soldiers greeted him, letting him in without inspection.

However, Tommy stopped Aldric and Anna.

"You two should wait here first, I'll talk to my father," he told them.

Aldric and Anna nodded to him with Anna allowing him to go alone.
