Joanna was about to claim the room as hers, but Alex beat her to it, addressing Grandpa instead. "Alright, I will have the maids prepare that room while we enjoy dinner. It hasn't been used in a while and should be tailored to your preferences."

Joanna felt uneasy at the thought of sharing a room with Alex again, especially since she had yet to fully recover from their honeymoon.

Without waiting for her response, Alex whispered something to Betty, who nodded and summoned a few maids.

When Joanna realized her belongings would be moved to Alex's room, she felt disorganized.

"Grandpa, I'll go freshen up and change into something more comfortable before dinner," Joanna said, flashing a smile at Alex, who seemed to catch the underlying message.

He also chimed in, "Grandpa, I'll freshen up as well. You know how the desert sand sticks to everything, even my hair." Grandpa smiled, teasing the young couple,
