Honestly, I love how the mc plays around with the racist card to f*ck with people and watch them get all flustered and defensive. I'm glad you don't just tip-top around or ignore the fact that places still have prejudice and have little representation in other countries. PS: Love it when you bring up modern problems like body shaming while the other characters just say, "The hell is that?" and just move on.

Wow,what that? A story about zombie apocalypse,without zombie apocalypse? Impressive... Not really. Would be dropped probably before any sort of real relationship or actual apocalypse plot.
